The shows were amazing, and the venue was top notch. I got spend a wonderful evening with some of my best friends and dance to some of the best music in the world. My biggest complaints that one of the stages was pretty hard to find, and the women in my party told me the women's restroom had locked open stall doors and super aggressive female security. The men's restroom had nothing like that, so I'm not sure why there was a huge difference.
It was a great show, all the performers were exceptional! The only irritating part was how strict it was to get into the venue. I've taken my tiny black, one pocket, shoulder satchel into every festival I've been to and I had to pay $5 unexpectedly to check my bag because I wasn't allowed to take it in. This wasn't even that big of a deal but the most annoying part was that, that meant that I had to hold my debit card, ID, and phone in my hand the e.n.t.i.r.e. night... It was hard to dance a lot with it and I got it almost bumped out of my hand a few dozen times. Not paying attention to that whole situation, I had the best night ever, I really appreciated how it was indoors and how many stages were still managed to be stuffed in without it being too close together. YG sucked, lol, everyone else blew my mind. Will for sure go again next year.
Other than the toilet stall doors being locked open prison style... I have limited complaints. It's sad the Midway Mayhem stage was so far and not very well advertised so it didn't get as many people. The sitting area with the trees was great. The stage set ups were fantastic. Hydration stations were easy to find. The lines to get in weren't terrible. Overall it was really fun and a great night!
It was a cool show. VIP might be worth it for the lines, but otherwise not much difference. I didnt end up going back to VIP once I got downstairs. The rodes were cool, but long lines there as well. VIP didnt was far away from the stage. The DJs were cool, but it felt like the show was missing something. Might have been better if the attendance was higher or in a small location
I had a great time, went with my friend, and met some cool people there, but the experience as a whole wasn't worth how much I paid. Generally good music, great people, typical stage setups, cool vibes, but it wasn't worth it tbh.
Freaknight has great actors, rides, and decor. I wish it was still held at the Tacoma Dome because I HATE the pillars or posts or whatever they are called that cut off the view at the stages. They make it feel as if no spot is a good spot unless your at the very front. Also the stages were very crowded probably because of the pillars and the vip stage :/
the Music itself seemed to be a let down. didnt enjoy the artist like i have before
I was pretty annoyed with the inconsistency with security entering the venue. My friends and I entered opposite sides of the same checkpoint, and I was made to dump my unopened water and chapstick, when they were allowed to bring that and more in.
Freaknight was an awesome event I think they go all out every year. The only thing I did not like from this year was that they have a clear code policy for bags (understandable) but it doesn’t specify that your cant be clear iridescent/hologram. I got vip tickets this year and had to throw away my fanny pack because it wasn’t clear. Bummer! When I got into the event I saw other people with bags similar to the one I had to throw away? I’m not sure why they were allowed to take theirs but I was not? I also never received the bandana and poster that vip tickets came with either which was also a bummer! Despite those two small inconvenience the event was a blast
