Franklin and the Adventures of the Noble Knights

I have seen many of these kind of shows by the same performance group. However, I do feel the quality and the overall of the show has been continuously downward. I don't think I will spend any more money on these kind of performances. I think I will start to save it for Broadway shows, Disney shows.

Franklin and the Noble Knights was Ho Hum

I was really disappointed in the Franklin performance. I found it a bit too cutesy and lacking in plot or entertainment value. The show started late, there was a completely unnecessary intermission of 20 minutes. Who needs an intermission in a show of approximately 60 minutes, except the vendors? Parents were having enough trouble keeping some kids interested in the show so dragging out an already dragged out plot was frustrating. We didn't get out until 5:35 from a 4:00 o' clock show. I took my grandkids to see Dufflebag Theatre do Peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast at Spring Break. We laughed the entire time-adults and children alike. The performance kept you riveted every minute for half the price. Franklin doesn't hold a candle to Dufflebag Theatre.

    Kids enjoyed Franklin

by Wil2 on 4/11/10Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

They loved the characters they recognised. A little puzzled by the mice and the troubadour as they weren't part of the books or cartoon but took it in stride as they sang and danced. The song by the bird was a little hard for them to understand. My 2 yr old daughter wanted to stay and watch it again.
