About

In this stage adaptation of "Frankenstein," authors Jeffrey Jackson and Mark Baron sought to create a work that was extraordinarily faithful to Mary Shelley's original novel while offering a bold, new experience for modern theater audiences. To do so, they have broken with many of the conventions of musical theater to re-imagine the classic allegory as a "memory play" in which time and space are fluid. The result brings the timeless myth of Frankenstein to life as never before.

    Frankenstein was awesome

by Copyrman on 2/25/14Gardiner W. Spring Auditorium - Ontario

I went to the last show in Ontario and thought it was a great experience!! The actors (especially the child actor) were awesome and the creature brought out the struggle he had to overcome his creation, to educate himself...The old man in the house was wonderful. Great time

    Frankenstein was good.

by Ortofonz on 2/18/14California Theatre of the Performing Arts - San Bernardino

The acting was admirable and the story had an interesting twist. The only drawback was the opening 10 minutes of monotony watching the creature moan, twitch and roll around. This was the director's fault, not the actor's. Also, there was one brief scene with a blue spotlight or something that was so bright it was almost blinding so I had to hide behind the person in front of me.

    Too Slow

by Jusmom3 on 2/18/14California Theatre of the Performing Arts - San Bernardino

The first scene set off the entire pace of the show, which was terribly slow and long. 15 minutes of watching a man lay around on the floor "in pain" (I guess) was enough for me to look towards the exit doors. I can't say it got better, but I will say the Actors/Actresses were great and made wonderful characters.

    Great play

by Cherryboo on 2/17/14California Theatre of the Performing Arts - San Bernardino

The theater is old fashioned so it's a real treat if your into vintage style architecture and design. The actors and actresses were very talented. If you love the book your gonna love it.
