    You don't play guitar?

by Romans623 on 1/27/16Ball State University Pruis Hall - Muncie

INCREDIBLE!!! I play trombone, no guitar, but I was blown away by their technique and improvisational skills! Very impressive and tastefully done. Didn't have to battle with heavy rock music. Classical and standards! Beautiful ‼️

    Great Guitars!

by GtrGrlNC on 11/8/15Clayton Center - Clayton

Frank Vignola performed with Vinny Raniolo last night in Clayton, NC at the Clayton Ctr. Frank has impeccable technique, and Vinny is a rock-solid rhythm guitarist providing a backdrop for Frank's blistering solos. The playlist was a little too "safe", even Frank summarized, " a little rock, a little folk, a few standards, a little classical, a polka"...but admittedly, it was not necessarily a jazz crowd. They played approximately 2 hours, not including intermission, and they were out in the lobby during intermission and after the performance...Frank is a natural showman, Vinny a little more reserved; while probably necessary to make some of the music more approachable for some, IMHO the "schtick" and "choreography" detracted, rather than added to the music...Clayton Ctr. is about 20 miles from Raleigh, with good seating and friendly staff.

That was a lot of Fun

by ED1010 on 3/4/14Florida Theatre Jacksonville - Jacksonville

We had just seen Tommy Emmanuel at PVCH, who suggested to the crowd that we attend this event and we were glad that we did. Frankly, I didn't know what to think of a guitar orchestra, but it worked with nearly 40 guitars broken up into orchestra sections. They did about 6-7 fairly short pieces, but my favorites with the early music pieces. Although the kids were great, my favorite part of the evening was Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo . I expected talented musicians, but they were also very funny, with a well rehearsed schtick. Very talented, very animated and very funny - that's a great combination. They were also very generous. During their set they invited all the DA students back up on stage to do a piece with them and at the break they let any student brave enough to a solo have at it. Some very good performances by the kids.

    DASOTA Students are amazingly talented!

by Lizzjess on 3/4/14Florida Theatre Jacksonville - Jacksonville

The Douglas Anderson School of the Performing Arts guitar students were amazing!! Especially when they had the opportunity to perform some solos with Vinny Ranolo and Frank Vignola. It is hard to believe that those students are 18 and under, some play like they've been performing their entire lives. Also, enjoyed Vinny and Frank very much - so talented. Fun evening!

Great Guitar Gathering - Douglas Anderson School

by jaser on 3/4/14Florida Theatre Jacksonville - Jacksonville

This event was fabulous!! The guitar orchestra, students from the school, were incredible. I was surprised to see Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo who performed the second half of the program. This was by far the very best guitar playing I have ever heard and would highly recommend this event to everyone. I was saddened by the fact that it wasn't a full house at the Florida Theater. This concert was worth the inexpensive ticket price by far! GO YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!!

Frank Vignola at Humphrey's, Backstage Lounge

by Anonymous on 1/30/12Humphreys Backstage Lounge - San Diego

Regret buying tickets on-line. Added service charge only made the disapointment sting worse when we left the show after the second song. Liked the venue, but thought we may of made of made a mistake on our gamble to see a new act we had not heard of before when Frank and fellow gitarist walked up on stage dressed in a suit and tie from the 70's. We were visiting San Diego for a long weekend and were hoping to be entertained by a live performance and a new artist. Old school, very disapointed,
