    Wow, end of an era!!

by slax on 6/23/22Birchmere - Alexandria

Although they will say "never say never", the Birchmere show became the Omega to their original Alpha! Beginning and ending of an era of the 4BB starting and ending at this great venue. Hoping for a reunion show somewhere down the road. Thank you ladies for 32 great years of performances. Enjoy your retirement!!!

    Retirement Performance - Good Verve

    by Scott S. on 6/14/22Birchmere - Alexandria

The enthusiasm the Babes displayed as they took the stage together, was demonstrable. They each played some of their own specialties, given the setlist published on Setlist.fm. The venue is a classic dinner theater format, with luminaries across numerous musical styles having performed on that very stage. The accessibility of the performers afterward, for autographs and a snippet of conversation was welcomed by the stalwart fans. We enjoyed the show.

The Babes Always Soothe Your Soul & Tickle Your Funny Bone

by Suzy In Oakton on 6/14/22Birchmere - Alexandria

Communing with the Babes at The Birchmere Saturday night was an absolute balm to soothe all that ails this broken world. Debi’s soaring, sweet, strong, spine-tingling soprano carried the lyrics into another world and brought me to tears especially with Pass It On and Mother’s Hands. Sally is so authentic and sassy and performs passionately from the depths of her soul. She’s a gorgeous spirit. Her family history is a rich tapestry that she weaves into a tent where all can gather to find understanding and healing. Christine’s effortless wit and cleverness is beyond measure—she’s a gem and is just one of those rare artists that makes you feel the world is a much smaller and better place than it really is. She inspires hope and reminds us not to take life too-too seriously and I have enormous regard for her intellect and world view. And absolutely not least is my favorite introvert Deirdre whose self-deprecating deadpan humor is the perfect balance. She is scathingly brilliant yet so simply captures what 99% of us feel when we are at our most human and vulnerable in our insecurities. She wears it like a superhero cape and her uncanny ability to make people laugh from their gut is her superpower. Love, love, love these extraordinary women!

    brava!

by Nj on 9/30/19Ames Center - Burnsville

I have not seen Four Bitchin' Babes for probably 10 years. The show was just as funny and fun and poignant as it was then. It was good to see Sally still at it and going strong. Thanks you for another amazing show! As for the Ames Center: What a wonderful venue. Not a bad seat in the house, the temperature was just right and it was easy to hear the performers. Not the best for someone who has trouble with stairs, but they accommodated those who needed to avoid them with elevators. Great place to watch a live show!

Three of four had weak voices..couldn't understand the words

by Nancy on 9/30/19Ames Center - Burnsville

They didn't have the best voices..especially the two on the left. Couldn't understand their words they were singing. Not always on key. We left at intermission. There were at least 3 other couples that left with us..saying the same thing about it. They rode the elevator with us and said they were highly disappointed and it was the first time they had gone to something that was unacceptable at the Ames.

    Cute but corny

    by J. on 3/26/19Birchmere - Alexandria

Would I see them again? Emphatically no! They have been in existence for over 20 years and many in the audience 65+ seemed to have been fans since the beginning. Wish I had seen them in their prime.

    Funny, entertaining, and so talented!

    by Specul8 on 3/26/19Birchmere - Alexandria

The "Babes" never disappoint. I first saw them 8 years ago and catch their show every time they come back through the Birchmere. I haven't laughed that much in a long time and was moved to tears during several numbers. They all are so unique and talented and I am looking forward to the next show!

    Fun, satyrical, talented

by Tony on 3/26/19Birchmere - Alexandria

Have followed these women for 25 years. Still funny, still polking the envelope of social satire. Great to see the Smith sisters on stage. Highly recommended.
