    Amazing dancers and musicians

by Irochka on 3/4/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

We love Tango and go to a lot of tango shoes. This one was sensantional. The muscians, the dancesrs, the costumes, we loved it all. The venue is equally great. We have been here many times and it is very comfortable. Loved the show.

    TERRIFIC

by Mr. Paul Ronga on 2/28/24

Had to put five star or they remove my review. To all that think it's five star ou need to find out what Tango is about. As an avid enthusiast of tango, I eagerly anticipated the with high expectations. However, what unfolded throughout the evening left much to be desired. While the ambiance and atmosphere were undeniably captivating, the show fell short in delivering the essence of tango through dance. One of the most glaring disappointments was the insufficient amount of dancing. Tango, renowned for its passionate and intricate choreography, seemed relegated to the sidelines, overshadowed by prolonged instrumental performances. Despite the anticipation for mesmerizing displays of footwork and expression, the sparse dance sequences left the audience yearning for more. Adding to the frustration was the repetitive nature of the instrumental pieces. Throughout the entirety of the show, a monotonous stream of similar tunes dominated the airwaves, failing to offer the diversity and dynamism expected from a tango performance. With little variation in tempo and style, the music lacked the flair and excitement necessary to keep the audience engaged. Moreover, the absence of vocal performances further contributed to the monotony of the evening. While instrumental music has its place in tango, the lack of vocalization deprived the show of the storytelling and emotional depth that singing brings. Without the interplay of voice and melody, the performance felt incomplete, leaving spectators longing for a more immersive experience. Despite these shortcomings, it's essential to acknowledge the talent of the musicians and dancers involved. Their skill and dedication were evident, albeit underutilized. With a more balanced approach that prioritizes dance while still celebrating instrumental music. In conclusion, while offers glimpses of tango's allure, its failure to showcase ample dance sequences and reliance on repetitive instrumental music leave much to be desired. For those seeking an authentic and immersive tango experience, this show may fall short of expectations.

    Extraordinary and beyond

by Nené Ortega on 2/28/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

A fantastic, extraordinary performance including the beauty and passion of the orchestra. Each couple expressed their magnificent technique and passion creating a mosaic of Tango, dance, movements, and beauty. I have seen this show before and can see the dance's evolution, but the essence is maintained permeating every fiber of their beings. The Tango itself manifested with grandeur. The orchestra, sextet, were beautiful. At moments I closed my eyes and my cells went through a molecular change with the vibration of the musical notes. I am still under the spell of such a magnificent performance. Bravo ! Bravo !

    Superb tango

by espoc on 2/28/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The ensemble was super tight. The bandoneon player was outstanding, so was the pianist. But the violinist stole the show. She was powerful, precise and poetic, possessing a fantastic tone and obviously perfect pitch. The dancers were excellent and choreography sparkled with humor and originality in this very traditional genre. Parker is the perfect venue for a classy show like this one.

    magic

by Sandysea on 2/27/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I wanted to see Tango Argentino on Broadway 40 years ago and could not; when I saw the ad for Forever Tango i could not pass it up. So glad I got tickets in The Parker, the perfect gem of a theater. The dancing was everything I hoped to see, but I didn't expect that the music, by itself, to be a star of the show. The haunting complicated tango music was fascinating. The ten dancers were top notch and the ensemble dances were beautiful. Glad I sent for tickets and saw the show.

    Fabulous!!

by Renee on 2/27/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The show was fabulous!! To make it perfect it needed a singer for 3 or 4 beautiful tangos, but even without it, the show is absolutely enjoyable. The dancers where fantastic! The orchestra was great!! Very pretty custume!! To me it was an unforgettable night!
