Events will take place at:
  • Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum:
    Subway- Take trains to 42nd St.
    Bus- From 42nd St. area, board M-42 west to the 42nd Street Pier; from 49th St. area, board M50 directly to museum. The museum is located at Pier 86 @ West 46th St. & 12th Ave.
  • Saint Bartholomew's Church:
    Subway- #6 train to Lexington Ave. & 51st St. -OR- E or F train to Lexington Ave. & 53rd St.
    Bus- M101, M102, M103. The church is located at Park Ave. & 51st St.
  • Saint Peter's Church:
    Subway- #6 train to Lexington Ave. & 51st St., E or F train to Lexington Ave. & 53rd St.
    Bus- M101, M102, M103. Saint peter's is located at 619 Lexington Ave. @ 53rd St.
  • Second Church of Christ, Scientist:
    Subway- B or C trains to 72nd St. and Central Park West #1, #9, #2, or #3 trains to 72nd St. & Broadway.
    Bus- M10 to 68th St.& Central Park West or M104 to 68th St. The church is located at 10 West 68th St. & Central Park West.
  • The MetLife Building
    Subway- Take trains to Grand Central station. MetLife is located at 200 Park Ave.
  • Wollman Rink:
    Subway- #4, #5, #6 trains to 59th St.; N or R train to 57th St.
    Bus- M5, M7, M10, M57. Wollman is located at Central Park, East Side bet. 62nd & 63rd Streets.


    Box Office Hours:

    Tents will be set up at the entrance to each Mannhattan location on New Years Eve in order to redeem your ticket for an official First Night® New York City Button.
    **Tickets may only be redeemed at the borough they were purchased for!**

    Will Call:

    Will Call may be picked up one hour prior to entrance times at Wollman Rink and The Intrepid Museum (directions below).


    Accessible Seating:

    This is a general admission event.
    All Venues are wheelchair accessible.

    General Rules:

    •There will be no alcohol served or permitted at this event!
    •Tickets may only be redeemd at the borough they were purchased for.

    Children Rules:

    Be sure to pruchase the special priced children ticket for ages 2-12 years of age.
    Children undre 2 are admitted free.

    First Night® NYC, Manhattan

    First Night® New York City 2001 is a five-borough, family-oriented, non-alcoholic celebration featuring everything from music and dancing to food and fireworks on December 31, 2000.


    The New Years Eve Manhattan First Night® celebration will take place all around Manhattan with activities that include music, dancing, roving performers, cartoon character, magicians arts and crafts, and much more. Revelers will be able to enjoy a Countdown Celebration at The Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum and the spectacular Midnight Fireworks Finale on the Hudson.
