FIRST AID KIT IN CONCERT:
With their pitch-perfect harmonies and expertly crafted arrangements, Swedish indie folk duo First Aid Kit have become one of neofolk's fastest rising stars, breathing new life into the genre with their minimal, mesmerizing compositions. Sisters Johanna and Klara Soderberg's achingly beautiful voices weave in and out of one another with an intimacy that underscores their sibling relationship, making their deeply personal songwriting all the more emotional and rewarding. The girls stunned with stripped-down renditions of songs like "Ghost Town" and "Emmylou" at their 2013 shows, building anticipation for their 2014 tour dates in support of their third studio album.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born and raised in suburban Sweden, sisters Johanna and Klara Soderberg began singing and recording songs together as teenagers, receiving their first radio airplay in 2007 when a local Swedish station picked up their demo "Tangerine." An EP released the following year would result in wider attention, after their cover of Fleet Foxes’ "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" became a YouTube sensation, eventually resulting in a performance of the song alongside the band at a concert in the Netherlands. After making their full-length debut with 2010's The Big Black & Blue, the girls embarked on their first world tour, performing more than 100 shows on three continents. The band's 2012 sophomore album The Lion's Roar was an even bigger success, leading to a virtual sweep of the 2013 Swedish Grammis and setting the stage for the release of their highly anticipated third studio album in 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"This band lays it all out in performance. Klara and Johanna's dynamic on stage is as lovely and easy-going as their gorgeous harmonies. One of the highlights for me was when they went without mics for 'Ghost Town' and had the audience join in singing."
"Their voices are strong and beautiful. Absolutely wonderful performance, some great surprises."
"These girls are incredible live. I was blown away!! They are very talented and super cute. Loved every bit of this show!"

I absolutely loved the show. Fast paced and fun, aimed at long-time fans and new ones equally, this show rocked and delighted. I loved seeing them at this fairly small venue yet still getting great sound, etc. i wish Dallas crowds were more fun, but the band managed to get us involved anyway. So fun.
The band was great as expected. First Aid Kit are a top-notch band that delivers a great show every time out. The House of Blues Dallas, on the other hand, is just not working for me. On the floor, the wing areas are congested, and the middle floor area is too small. It is cramped, noisy, and overall not a good experience for all but a few concert-goers at the front-middle. The reserved table area is a waste of otherwise good space to relieve congestion and provide a better listening experience for a decent sized crowd. I'm afraid I am going to have to opt out of future concerts at this venue. Unfortunate, but likely necessary. There are far better similarly sized venues in the Dallas market, and I hope show promoters opt for those venues over HOB Dallas.
The band was amazing. The venue had a very loud, extremely distracting thumping bass line happening somewhere else in the building that was almost overwhelming. It made it difficult to enjoy the show.
First Aid Kit was born with an inherent talent for songwriting and harmonizing. Do yourself a favor and give them a listen. First Aid Kit should be selling out Stadium shows. Sadly, too many people these days don’t understand true musical talent. Taylor Swift is radio Disney—First Aid Kit are musicians’ musicians. Check out the stark difference. As for live concerts—you can’t find a better show!
Excellent show, so glad I had the opportunity to see them! Opener Courtney Marie Andrews was an added bonus, would absolutely go see her again. Standing shows can be challenging though, too many tall people up front, made it hard to see through them LOL.
I was at their concert in Houston, and it was absolutely stunning. The concert and showmanship was top tier. Also their merch at the concert was very cool too (I got the tote bag). I would definitely love to see them again.
Great show! First Aid Kit is a cool blend of country and Swedish pop with reminiscences of ABBA and aesthetics of Lucius
First Aid Kit was amazing, they put on the best show! They belong on stage at Radio City! Loved every second of it, as always.
First Aid Kit was amazing, as usual! They are so talented and such great performers. The only issue with the concert was that the air conditioning was broken - do better next time, Fillmore Philadelphia!
