Fiaf Members' Holiday Party Tickets

1. Not enough champagne 2. Not enough food 3. I missed half of songs because room was not indicated

Since I paid $65 for this event, it was ungracious to require a ticket to get a slice of cake!!! Hor d' ouvers were too few and uninteresting

Crowded, poor wine (at a French event?), poor food. One would expect due to the place and the organization that this would be a class event. It was quite the opposite.

The event was from 6.30 until.. Hmmm. Party bulletin didn’t even include this info. It turns out it was only 2 hours. My friends who were travelling from Queens got to “enjoy “the party for 15 min.. There was no food when they arrived and they were told they couldn’t have dessert too! (There were no cake tickets left..) All I can say is try harder next year even though I am not going to join you. Truly yours, FIAF member

This is a nice & stylish affair organized by the Alliance Francaise, but don't expect too much: while drinks are free flowing & passed hors d'oeuvres are delicious, there are hardly enough of them, and the bar closes early in the already brief 2-hr time frame of the event, that is kept to the minute. Entertainment are live Christmas carrolls & a luxury goods raffle. Within its genre, it's a very good event, but be sure this type of thing is according to your taste.

Crowd seems to be getting older every year. Venue is nice, if a little hard to get to at 75th/5th, and certainly a mainstay of the event. Not sure raffle drawings are that entertaining - maybe just flash the numbers and have people come by to claim. Food was good, if a little scarce. Champagne was good and wait staff good as well.
