    One of the nicest events I've seen! Midwest all

    Having observed a real professional Roller Derby event in 1968 in the Cow Palace in San Francisco (The Bay Bombers with "Shirley the Blond Bomber"); It was wonderful to see real nice "girls" and their fans rooting them on. They were very warm to me during the intermission and I would want my daughter to do this if she liked (with plenty of protection and a stout heart). They really "hammed it up" in their pictures in the brochure ("Vixen Van Gough", and even more creative names) and they really showed their stuff on the rink. The announcers were especially funny and "local". If you want to see what is great about America with friendly (and heated) competition then GO. Mark C
