    Amazing opportunity.

by Amber Hall on 4/5/22Carolina Theatre Cinema - Durham

I am a full-time Drumming facilitator based out of Florida and my family lives in the area. I was able to bring Granddaughter for her very first African drum performance and she was completely transfixed. The presenters were amazing, their program was amazing and in my opinion every community needs more of this type of opportunity to bring families to witness music, the arts.

What a way to start a Saturday

by AliciaB on 4/5/22Carolina Theatre Cinema - Durham

We thoroughly enjoyed the singing, dancing, instruments and stories. I especially enjoyed that they included the audience. One hour wasn’t enough.

Fun for kids but adults should be free

by UESmom on 2/6/12Le Skyroom at FIAF - New York

I called FIAF before purchasing tickets to confirm, twice, that I only needed a ticket for my four-year-old son. They assured me that I only needed a ticket for him. When we got to FIAF this information was incorrect and I had to purchase a ticket for myself as well. But $13 ($10 plus $3 service fee) for me to stand there and watch my son decorate a cookie is too steep. I'm having another child so admission to decorate a cookie and paint a cardboard box would have been $30. I think for the charge there should have been refreshments for adults or one other station. We also go for the French exposure and there was very little interaction with French speaking adults. I think my biggest turn off was when the craft was over, which was pretty quick for a four-year-old boy, that he got in trouble for running around. He wasn't disruptive, or hurting anyone, it wasn't a movie or story time but I feel at $26 we shouldn't be yelled at and two boys running in circles in a large room while kids are decorating cookies in a corner isn't the worst thing ever.
