Absolutely fantastic. The best opera I've ever seen.
I thought the opera was very good. Reginald Smith, Jr., was outstanding.
The show was fantastic! My big issue was that we attended the Sunday afternoon show, arrived 30 minutes before show time and there were no programs - they had distributed all of the programs during the three previous shows. I would like to suggest that in the future, some programs be held back for the final performance.
My husband & I enjoyed the opera immensely. The students did a magnificent job. Costumes were exquisite and we were happy with ticket prices. We hope UK will present another opera soon!
Have a cup of coffee, sit down, prepare to be entertained...and laugh. UK Opera's performance of Falstaff was our first Opera experience but it certainly won't be our last!! It was a wonderful evening and we indeed to make UK Opera a habit!!
Falstaff was filled with rich voices, delightful costumes, enthusiastic acting, and hilarious situations. Healthy laughter is good for the soul and mine was fine after Falstaff.
I highly recommend seeing anything they put on. My girlfriend and I saw Romeo and Juliet and were totally impressed, so now we go to anything they put on that they can. The singing, the music, the acting, the costumes, the sets, all first class. Lexington really is so lucky to have such great Opera.
