About

FALSETTOS revolves around the life of a charming, intelligent, neurotic gay man named Marvin, his wife, his lover, his about-to-be-Bar-Mitzvahed son, their psychiatrist, and the lesbians next door. It’s a hilarious and achingly poignant look at the infinite possibilities that make up a modern family... and a beautiful reminder that love can tell a million stories.

William Finn and James Lapine’s groundbreaking 1990s Tony Award-winning musical comes back to Broadway this fall in an all new production from Lincoln Center Theater. Lapine returns to direct an extraordinary cast featuring Christian Borle, Stephanie J. Block, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, Tracie Thoms, Brandon Uranowitz, and Betsy Wolfe.

The Walter Kerr Theater Box Office is open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 8pm; Sunday, Noon to 6pm. Tickets will not be sold at the Lincoln Center Theater Box Office. Tickets may also be bought over the phone by calling Ticketmaster at 800-982-2787.

Christian and Andrew at their best!!

by lomcsa on 1/12/17Walter Kerr Theatre - New York

Great cast, beautiful songs, loved the simple stage props - they worked perfect. Kept you focused on the story and not the scenery. Funny, sad, moving- just about every emotion you can feel during one show.

    Story stays with you

by NoTheater on 1/11/17Walter Kerr Theatre - New York

While the musical is almost three decades old, the story holds true today. The actors were all marvelous. The second act is especially touching. What annoys me is that I paid $225 for my ticket which I bought before the show opened and on the day of the performance, a better center seat was $149. This does not seem fair to me.

    GREAT THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE

by Inkface on 1/10/17Walter Kerr Theatre - New York

We saw it on the day before it was set to close. So glad we did. Poignant story, beautiful music, great performances. Evoked empathy, laughter and surely a few tears.

    Falsettos - I laughed I cried

by Grand4 on 1/10/17Walter Kerr Theatre - New York

This production was top quality in every aspect. The book, music and lyrics worked seamlessly together to tell a story of love and conflict within non traditional families. The casting was outstanding. I was riveted throughout - and at times was lost in the play and forgot I was in a theatre. Now that's a pretty great show!

    Strong cast makes it work

by Yalek on 1/10/17Walter Kerr Theatre - New York

I was skeptical about the revival. I had seen so many dated revival. This show is not dated but carry by an amazing cast. Christian Borle and Andrew Rannells are two well known in the cast and they did a good job. The most surprising performance is from Betsy Wolfe. Her powerful voice and performance took the house down. The supporting cast is also very strong. The weakest link is the music which cannot not embed in my head. The music is not memorable. Fortunately, the storyline keeps the story flow. At the end of the show, heard so many sniffing and see tear in my eyes.

    It's good but not great

by SandiEzB on 1/10/17Walter Kerr Theatre - New York

Really wanted this show to be great. And while there were some excellent moments, nothing really sustained throughout. Seemed to drag throughout, with some highlights (I'm Breaking Down). Really wanted to love it but didn't.
