We went to see the FAU play put on by students. The play, The Childrens Hour by Lillian Hellman is an old one but still relevant today. Several actors were quite good but in general this production was not quite as good as ones we have seen at Studio One in the past. Nonetheless, we would recommend the FAU productions.
Although one might think a 1936 Pulitzer Prize winning play by a female American playwright might be dated, in this compelling and very believably cast FAU Student production, we see that it's not. This is a courageous piece of theater and the very accomplished production did it right.! I, and my friends enjoyed every gripping moment and give KUDOS to the cast, both on-stage and off, for the high level of wonderful drama. I hope every aspiring theatre student finds their place in the important world of the Arts!
The production was well done. The actors in the show were professional and engaging.
I enjoyed this thourly, some of the older people in the audience we're less enthusiastic. Funny, real. The lab has a great hit.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The performers were all excellent. The musical accompaniment was just great. Seating was comfortable and we were very pleased that we chose to go to see the FAU performance of Cabaret. We would not hesitate to see other shows at FAU.
Great singing, and acting. Terrible overall play. Overly sensual. Inappropriate and not humorous in the way portrayed.
This was a great adaptation of Cabaret. The singing was well above par and the staging and makeup were excellent. Very suggestive and graphic during the first act, and not at all suitable for children.
This was a fantastic production of Cabaret. The leads were splendid and the whole show as good as any production you will see.
Acting, music, live otchestra, dancing, singing and choreography were all excellent. The theatre is small, so all the seats were great and it made you feel as if you were actually there. I saw this play on Broadway and was just as happy with this production.
