Ex Cops Tickets

Ex Cops played a handful of songs off their True Hallucinations album and a new song. The set was brief, and I suspect the band was very disappointed by the low turn-out for the show. There may have been a dozen people in the audience, including the members from the opening band, Cape Canyon, who stuck around together with some of their friends and family. Overall I thought Ex Cops was just okay, but there was certainly no audience energy to fuel the performance. I would be interested in seeing Ex Cops again in a different venue. I guess it will have to be in a different city too, since apparently no one in Toledo appreciates good music. The opening act was a surprise for me. I had not previously heard of Cape Canyon, but will definitely be following them from now on. Some of their music reminded me a little of Fleet Foxes, we great harmonies. The song writing for this band is really strong, with a lot of surprises packed into each song. Apparently they are releasing an EP this summer. Can't wait.
