better than i could have asked for! JC Brooks got the crowd going and and singing along and chanting! Escort took us home with the disco funk! Only thing i disliked is how the doors opened at 8 but music started at 10. big gap where i expected music to be!
I was in the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas in August and heard this band playing. I went to listen and more and more people joined in. Standing room only. This band puts on an incredible show. Not only are the musicians but also performers. The lead vocalist is talented with her vocals and mesmerizing with her performance. They were there with a skeleton crew, no back up singers and a few other members gone and had I not been told that I wouldn't have know. Keep and eye on this band because its talent can't be. I will watch for concert dates.
the two warmup dj acts were excellent. nice light show too. lady miss keir's dj act was nice. she just played cd's, not a big wheels of steel act or anything, but of course she has great taste. she had a guitar player who did not really seem to get along with her very well, he pushed her away a couple times when she was dancing around and that was awkward. she briefly had a hype guy dancing up there too. he was a nice guy, i had a beer with him before the show. she overstayed her welcome and lost the crowd toward the end. escort? what can you say? its a big azz disco band and they got it down. they are impressive and energetic. the crowd was really into them. hope they can keep it up because that is a lot of mouths to feed lol!
Amazing performance! The band has incredible stage presence and energy! I will never miss an Escort show that comes to the NYC area
thank you Webster Hall for another great show--your staff was super friendly --the show was WAY better then I expected. There are 15 people in Escort!!! I had never really heard both bands before and was blown away (no reference to pre Sandy) I wanted to see more Penguin Prison!!! ----anyways, shows like these give me so much faith in music and love NYC even more! Thanks!
Escort is one of the best live shows I've ever been to.
Powerful, enthusiastic, and love what they do. An incredible shower that I won't want miss when they're in town!
