Overpriced for a puppet show that lasts 1 hour

by DiNOTsaurusZoogoer on 5/24/17Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

This is a waste of time and money....i have attended a lot of kids shows and this is by far the worst....last only one hour for $200 this was more of a comedy audition than a kid show and maybe a total of 5 dinosaurs they demonstrated....STAY AWAY!!!

    Erths Dinosaur show was disappointing

by Dcpriwer on 5/24/17Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

I was disappointed in the show. I bought the VIP tickets. It was not worthy! The show was only an hour long and was not what I was expecting.

    So much fun

by 2boysmom4me on 5/24/17Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

This is an excellent show. Would go again. My son is 4 years old and after the show he said "that was a very good show. I loved it".

    We had a great time!

by Anonymous on 6/3/13Bardavon - Poughkeepsie

I was also unsure if we should go after reading all the terrible reviews. But the tickets were only $10.00 so we went. I would have gladly paid more. The kids laughed, the adults laughed, we all had a great time and made great memories!! Some reviewers didn't like the "lack of dinosaurs". Yes, there were only 4 kinds. It would have been great to have more! But it was OK the kids didn't seem to mind at all and it kept the show to a time limit that kids can sit through. You know there is a full scale show 'Walking with Dinosaurs' that you can go see for the full dinosaur experience. For smaller venues and children, this was perfect! GO!

    dino petting zoo

by volunteer47 on 4/28/13Germantown Performing Arts Centre - Germantown

having read the previous reviews, i felt you readers needed a fair and balanced review. the show (really more of a learning program) has been playing here in the memphis area, and as a volunteer at the centre, i have heard nothing but great reviews from parents and grandparents. this is most appropriate for K-2nd graders, but preschoolers and those a bit older have enjoyed it too. yes, it is 45min-1hr. long -- about as long as the attention span for that age. CA residents must have been ripped off by their venue - our ticket prices were reasonable and parking was free. the interaction with the kids is great - they are not made to sit still in a seat -- they can call out, use hands, stand up, participate! there is good information imparted to the kids about dinosaurs - just enough for that age. four different dino puppets do appear, so the whole show is not puppetry, some silliness with jokes and the dinos acting-out also is entertaining. if you have a dino-kid, i would recommend this show.

    Unforgettable and Realistic Dinosaur Show!

by MemphisStation on 4/28/13Germantown Performing Arts Theater - Germantown

I purchased the tickets before reading the reviews from San Diego. However, I was a bit concerned before heading out there as I had shown my 4 yr old nephew and his friends the neat Erth's YouTube clips of previous shows and their excitement was beyond what their little bodies could hold. All I can say is the show exceeded the kids and my family's expectations (I'm 30)! I just got back from the show and had to log on to this site just to let others know. Maybe San Diego had a bad audience? IDK, but audience participation and enthusiasm was crucial since they would bring up parents for adult comic relief too. We were all laughing and shrieking together. As you can tell from the video clips, these puppets are extremely life like. The show lasted 1 hr and the first 7 to 10 minutes was bringing up kids who had dinosaur jokes, very sweet. Worth every penny. Great show for kids and adults! I'm so happy we went and now my nephew says I'm the best aunt ever... hmm....

    Rip off

by David89032 on 2/21/13Balboa Theatre - San Diego

This show was a complete ripoff. The ENTIRE show lasted only 45 minutes, of which the first 25 minutes you never even saw a dinosaur, just some guy talking about dinosaurs. There were only 2 dinosaur puppets (T-rex and another small dinosaur puppet), and one act with "baby dinosaurs" which were just small hand puppets, and a big fly puppet. We were expecting a LOT more, especially considering the price for tickets was $35.00 a person, or $170.00 for a family of four. This show should be a free show. After they brought the T-rex dinosaur puppet, we thought it was finally just the beginning of the real show. Unfortunatley after the T-rex was on stage for about 10 minutes, the guy announced the show was over and we were disappointed as well as my 5 and 6 year old children. Very lame show. I do not recommend this unless it is a free show. We go to lots of kids shows, and by far this was the biggest waste of money.

    One of a kind show!

by Anonymous on 2/18/13Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Awesome props and sound effects. Loved seeing the live audience interaction as well. The jokes could have been better but overall, very satisfied with the show!

    What a rip off

by Tony263 on 2/18/13Balboa Theatre - San Diego

The show only last for one hour. You better spend the money on a circus or ice skating show

    That's It?

by Anonymous on 2/18/13Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Was not worth the drive, paying for parking, to see this 45 minute mini-show, they just show 3 dinosaurs and when they said thank you very much, my kids said: That's it?....where are the other dinosaurs?... we as parents didn't say anything in front of the kids, but we were really disappointed, pretty much we spend $100 (tickets and parking) for a very poor show...Sorry but that that was our feeling about it. Never again...
