Nothing what I expected. The venue is small but quaint. Very enjoyable. No vulgar language or was minimal. Emo was OK. I would definitely go to Kimmel's comedy club again and make it a stop the next time I'm in Vegas.
You can't NOT enjoy an Emo Philips show, and the venue Jimmy Kimmels Comedy Club in Las Vegas was built to give the best experience possible. Friendly staff and decent drink prices, the food looked good and people were complimenting it, but we didn't eat that night. Emo is still a consistently hilarious performer, and in Las Vegas he really seemed "on"- relaxed and comfortable with the unique mixed crowd. This was our 8th Emo show this year, and I count it as one of the best. Kudos to Jimmy Kimmel and his Vegas crew for running a great comedy venue. One complaint about the club-there is no in-house restroom, and patrons must use the public facilities a few doors down on the LINQ Promenade. Highly recommend any Emo Philips show, and J.K.s Comedy Club in Las Vegas
Emo Phillips' show @ Jimmy Kimmel's Las Vegas comedy club was excellent. Very nice club. Emo Phillips was electric, and funny from the moment he hit the stage. His timing, and jokes were perfect, and the entire house was bending over laughing. He was very gracious after the show as well. Brilliant stand-up comedy. Emo belongs in a BIG Vegas room, and much longer residency. Very nice club staff too.
With a mix of new and old, Emo stunned with his thinking person’s comedy.
Seeing in Emo in a club is different than seeing him at a theatre. I've only ever seen him do theatre shows before now, and they were all fabulous. But the Punchline is a small comedy club, his style changes, he's more energetic and immediate. The dynamics are different. If you have a chance to see Emo at a club, definitely go for it, even if you've seen him already at a large theatre. Don't go to the Punchline alone like I did. Even though I was very early and only 3 people were there before me, I was seated all they way off to the side, away from the stage, because closer seats are "reserved for couples." Nice.
