Emerald City Theatre: Schoolhouse Rock Tickets

Great choreography, the singing was out of this world (which is saying something, given that the actors were just singing ditties about nouns and verbs), and the music was as great as I remembered from my childhood. This is the second production I've seen Emerald City Theatre put on and I have been recommending them to anyone who comes across my path. They are a seriously talented group of folks. Find out what they're doing next and go!

The program said it was for 4 to 14 year olds. Forgetaboutit. It's for more like 4th grade to 14. Multiplication tables for 4 year olds? The woman's suffrage movement for 6 year olds? Plus the music and sound levels were very loud. The actors seemed to do more screaming than singing.

I enjoyed myself at Schoolhouse Rocks, the company I was with, my daughter, my granddaughter,and her best friend. We did sit to the left of the stage, the seats were good, but not best. My granddaughter and her best friend were thrilled to be included by Dori coming over and hiding under their seats. This was for Emmy's 5th birthday. I wish I had maybe said something, as if that may have mattered. I loved the Schoolhouse Rock - I'm Just a Bill, and a few other fan favorites I recalled from when my children were growing up. We have been here before and we will be back again!

Schoolhouse Rock is musical entertainment for all ages. The talented cast rocked out to all the Saturday morning classics from the original series. It didn't matter that my six year old had never heard the songs before because the melodies, message and theatrical performance by the amazing cast kept her entertained and attentive for the entire one hour show.
