    Loved Llama Llama!

    by rachelita75 on 12/31/13Apollo Theater - Chicago

This play was great! The kept very true to the books and had added humor for the grown-ups. The recommended age minimum is 3 and my daughter is 2 1/2 and she did great. An hour with no intermission was maybe the only thing she struggled with.

Llama Llama was so much fun!

by dcstepgrandma on 12/25/13Apollo Theater - Chicago

our 4-year-old granddaughter had a wonderful time at this, her first live theater performance. She was dancing at her seat and laughing out loud, and this engaged her rapt attention all the way through.

    3-year old loved it

    by delightedaunt2 on 12/16/13Apollo Theater - Chicago

I took my 3-year old niece to Llama Llama on Friday. She loves the books and this play was her first theatre experience. She was laughing and clapping and fully engaged during the entire show. The actors were delightful. Afterwards she said she loves going to the theatre.

    Llama Llama comes to Life

    by Whit92 on 11/18/13Apollo Theater - Chicago

If you're a fan of the books, you and your child will love this production. The added dialogue is wonderful, the actors are energetic and funny - and its a perfect length (1 hour).

    Llama Llama was just Ho-hum

    by Yogamommy17 on 11/12/13Apollo Theater - Chicago

While my children have loved all of the Llama, Llama books, this show was not a hit with any of them. The opening scene is super scary and many of the children in the audience reacted negatively to the dream sequence. My youngest kept asking to go home throughout the performance (not something he usually does--he LOVED The Cat in the Hat). Even my eldest wasn't impressed (he's four). Overall, the acting was a little over the top and the show itself needed some musical performances or less dialogue to make it really engaging for a young (target) audience.

This show sets terrible examples for children and parents alike. Sure, the Llama Llama books start with bad behavior before illustrating the right way of handling things, but this show takes the bad behavior way, way, way too far. Within 10 minutes, I knew I would not enjoy this show, and I spent the rest of the hour waiting for it to end.

Llama, Llama was exciting family entertainment!

    by Poohbear07 on 10/16/13Apollo Theater - Chicago

My son and I had a wonderful time at this event! The characters were very friendly and interacted with the younger audience. They called on two girls to be a part of their choo choo train. My son said he wouldn't mind coming back for more of the Emerald City season performances.
