Highly recommend the play. My 4 and 6 year olds loved it!
The actors were great. They kept the audience engaged throughout the performance.
With Mo Wileams involvement in the script and lyrics, it captures the clever and fun nature of the books. The kids loved it
Delightful offering for little children. The cast was super energy and enthusiastic. The children in tube audience were very engaged. Great way to expose children to theater. They love the books and could recognize situations from them.
Great play for kids and adults. We had a terrific time.
I brought my 5 year old son to see this on a Friday afternoon, and the theatre was filled with excited children on school field trips. We had great seats in the center section, but it is a small place, so there'd probably not be a bad seat in the house. Despite a minimalist set design, the performance was huge on imagination and costumes, and all the kids loved it. At the end, there was a brief Q & A for the children. The only slightly disappointing part (for my kid) was that there was no meet and greet after the show for weekday performances. If your children like that kind of thing, those are only offered on the weekends.
Grandma and Grandpa took 4 year old grandson to the show. We sat in the front row and our grandson was totally involved with the actors. There was a lot of audience participation so the children could talk to the actors. The show was fast paced so the audience of mostly school children were into the show at all times. I would recommend this show for young children.
Music, creativity, and singing was adorable. Especially, the Squirelles! Kids loved it, but so did parents. Elephant really poured his heart into the role....
High energy, full of laughs for your little ones and you, this cast gives it their all. Fun songs, great voices, just enough audience participation to keep the kids focused.
We were surpirsed and excited to see our child's favorite book series had made it the theater. It not only lived up to but exceeded ours expectations. We were in Chicago for Spring Break and happened to find the play while looking for things for our 6 year old. Able to get tickets and she was beyond thrilled. The cast portrayed the characters as if they jumped out of the book, even stayed after to answer questions. The humor and pace of the show was spot on. This is a must see for both kids and adults of Mo Willems.
