ELECTRIC YOUTH IN CONCERT:

Canadian duo Electric Youth creates cinematic synthpop that combines the best of the '80s with futurist pop sensibilities to arrive at something timeless. Warm analog synths, vintage drum samples, and the ethereal vocals of singer Bronwyn Griffin recall the past without getting mired in it, a pitfall they avoid thanks to forward-looking production flourishes from Griffin's other half Austin Garrick. At live shows the duo keeps the setup minimal, allowing Griffin's delicate voice to shine while Garrick keeps time on an electronic drum kit. Whether they're playing cuts from 2014's Innerworld LP or performing their haunting contribution to the Drive soundtrack "A Real Hero”, Electric Youth ooze style and charisma, treating ticket buyers to a mesmerizing concert experience every time they take the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Electric Youth was formed in 2009 by Austin Garrick and Bronwyn Griffin, two Toronto-based musicians who have been dating since 8th grade. The couple earned their first big break in 2011 when their song "A Real Hero" (feat. College) appeared in the critically acclaimed film Drive. They continued to generate buzz in 2012 with several popular online mixes, and in 2013 they signed to Last Gang Records. They released their debut full-length Innerworld on the label in 2014, earning praise from critics for their nostalgic yet progressive sound before setting out on their first headlining tour of the US and Canada.  Their stunning performances on the road cemented their place as one of electronic music's most buzzworthy new acts , building excitement among fans for their upcoming shows.
