Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 6/12/12Walt Disney Concert Hall - Los Angeles Rating: 1 out of 5 Only go if you're an Elaine Stritch Superfan
by JJUCLA on 6/11/12Walt Disney Concert Hall - Los AngelesI hadn't heard of Elaine Stritch other than watching her play Jack's mom on 30 Rock, and I was really disappointed by this show. It was very self-indulgent and slapstick. The only people who seemed to like it were people who were big Elaine Stritch fans (during her monologues about all the shows she'd been in, people she'd known and things she'd seen, they seemed to know what she was talking about), and I suspect they were more excited to see a legend than they were excited at the quality of her performance.
Rating: 5 out of 5 " A Great Show"
by Margie1000 on 10/25/11Town Hall - New YorkLast Saturday we were privileged to see Elaine Stritch in a One-person show. The show lasted a little over 1 and a half hours and was complete with her singing and her remembrances from a lifetime of being an entertainer. The show was well worth the purchase price and all my husband and I could say as we exited the theater was "Thank you Ms. Stritch"
Rating: 4 out of 5 Glad I went!
by Thom9 on 10/25/11Town Hall - New YorkElaine Stritch is an unforgettable icon of the American Theater and I was happy to spend the time in her presence. To hear her do Ladies Who Lunch again live was a total thrill. I think no one will be able to touch that. I do wish she would consider using a teleprompter (Obama uses one) She would feel so much more comfortable.

Rating: 2 out of 5 Elaine Stritch at The Town Hall
by MBKoss on 10/24/11Town Hall - New YorkMs. Stritch began with great enthusiasm but soon fell victim to forgetting many lyrics of songs. Her great skill for making each tune a dramatic performance gave way to her panic to just remember the lyrics. I love her work but this was such a poor way to remember her brilliant work. I feel sorry for anyone buying tickets for her tour.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Elaine Stritch at 86 was amazing!!!!!!
by Plantster on 10/24/11Town Hall - New YorkWhether Elaine Stritch really couldn't remember her lines, or it was an act, no one could tell. She was perky, engaging and told very charming and enjoyable stories. Her singing was good, and sometimes great on some notes. Elaine's interaction with her musical director Rob was charming like a talented mother-son act. Bless this lady, she is the real deal!!!!!
Rating: 3 out of 5 A concert for the super fan
by JimmyTindc on 10/24/11Town Hall - New YorkThe show was well put together, minus Elaine forgetting many of the lyrics. At 86, she's still got a stage presence that can't be beat, but it was hard to watch when she forgot lyrics that she's known for years. Also, the dialogue between songs was so forced...I wish she could have been more natural. None of us know what she's supposed to say, so no need to cover it up. She did say she was batting a bout of diabetes that night, which may have played part of it. Still a legend, glad I could see it.
