was very disappointed in Pieces of a dream Chante Moore took too much time of set , which prevented them of performing songs we were waiting to hear...Boney James was Great!

    Jam Session

by Eanubian on 4/29/14Detroit Opera House - Detroit

What an incredible evening. Najee kicked off the night and just when you thought it couldn't get any better - Gary Anderson joined him on stage with a tribute to Black Women! I particularly enjoyed Pieces of a Dream - it was a jam packed evening and athough I enjoyed Boney James and Chante: everyone was a headliner on Easter Eve!

Good concert. Too much clutter on stage with the exception of Boney James. Sound system was also poor. Again with the exception of Boney James. Fewer acts better quality next time.

    Boney, Boney, Boney

by MotorCityGal on 4/24/14Detroit Opera House - Detroit

What a fantastic concert! Boney James was dazzling. He engaged the audience and danced with attendees. He is full of so much energy that if floods the concert hall and makes his audience want to dance & shout! Najee and Pieces of a Dream were great add-ons and made for a full evening of jazz.

    Fabulous jazz concert

by JazzyFan55 on 4/23/14Detroit Opera House - Detroit

Absolutely loved this concert! The artists were all remarkable and put on a great show. Lots of time for each artist to shine and Boney James was the show stopper. The acoustics were fantastic and the venue (Detroit Opera House) was beautiful. Couldn't ask for more. Worth every cent

    Harmony

by sunglass on 4/23/14Detroit Opera House - Detroit

Blend of seasoned musicians converged on the Opera House Saturday night. Najee filled the air with sax & flutes bellowing grand. Gary Taylor joined with balladeer swag. " Pieces of a dream" were a "whole of a reality" as they jazzed the funk out. Thunder drums, keyboards, rocked the house. Chaunte' joined them and broke it down low, then whistlenoted high with ease. Well... Boney always brings the flair. dusty jams to the new cd. Music transcends time and space.

Pieces of a Dream Stole the Show

by RoderickV on 4/22/14Detroit Opera House - Detroit

First of all Boney James was Boney James of course. Enough said. It was his show. Pieces of a Dream on the other hand put on a show. Each and every member gave us b a solo that was simply amazing. The bass players solo may have been the best bass solo I have ever heard.

What an awesome concert and lineup of acts. I had the opportunity to sit in on the sound check with Najee and Gary Taylor and the band and I must say this is an experience I will never forget. Boney James is always dynamic and he always puts on a great show.

    A concert to remember!

by CandiGirl1 on 4/22/14Detroit Opera House - Detroit

This concert was amazing. I had never seen Gary Taylor or Pieces of a Dream before. They were great. Loved Chante Moore. She is very entertaining. Najee did terrific. I'm in love with him now. And Boney James was phenomenal. In his usual fashion he rocked. He played some old songs as well as some songs from the latest cd "Batucada". Excellent concert.
