    Great Family Event

Loved all the action and all of the cowboys and cowgirls were excellent. Really enjoyed the clown entertainment too!

    Too much other

    by 4hoofs on 4/19/11Bojangles' Coliseum - Charlotte

I came to see rodeo, but was also subjected to an overdone display of patriotic and religious themes. Once is fine, but several times was too much in my opinion, and I have two sons in the military.

    East Coast World Championship? NOT

    by horselover143 on 4/18/11Bojangles' Coliseum - Charlotte

The poor horse they had up for a raffle was pitiful and on its last legs. Ribs were showing, pacing in a tiny area all night, it was a disgusting example for supposed horse people to expose to the public. The rodeo presenters should be ashamed of themselves. East Coast World Championship Finals?...What a joke...it was almost all local people and very amateur; certainly NOT championship! Vendor ware was cheaply made and overpriced. I paid $32.85 total for my ticket and feel robbed. The only good part of this event was the rodeo clown but even he wasn't worth the price of the ticket. I will not attend this again...obviously.

    The grandsons loved it!

by NanaJeanE on 4/18/11Bojangles' Coliseum - Charlotte

Although it didn't get over until late, the boys insisted on staying through the bull riding. It was a fun memory!

2011 East Coast World Championship Rodeo Finals..

    by postman46 on 4/18/11Bojangles' Coliseum - Charlotte

Although I would recommend my friends to go to this event, this year, unfortunately, the quality was lacking from previous rodeos I have attended. Poor roping skills (gals and guys) and worse bull riding (supposedly the BIG event) made the evening ho-hum. Dont get me wrong, I understand how rodeoing works, but the quality of the prowess of the cowboys/cowgirls was not there. It was a good thing I was there with my daughters, otherwise it would not have been worth the time and money. Actually, during the rodeo, I caught myself thinking that we could have spent the same amount of time together doing something else that would have cost less. But what do you do.....?

    Rodeo -acoustics

    by Action6 on 4/17/11Bojangles' Coliseum - Charlotte

The announcers were extremely too loud for the size building it was in - most small children were holding their ears and an older man near us had brought his ear-plugs! Definitely not "his first rodeo" as they say.... The persons in charge of the music sound system were unaware of the speakers being turned up to the max. I was sitting next to my grandson and he couldn't hear a word I was saying to him for the loud music being played for 45 minutes before the show actually started.

I enjoyed the Rodeo greatly. I was a little disapointed with the sound system. The main announcer was very hard to understand. The sound was very muddled and their seemed to be a lot of echo and reverberation that caused the issue. Being able to understand what was being said would certainly have made the experience more enjoyable.

    More Rodeo less Clown

    by Chaps2011 on 4/17/11Bojangles' Coliseum - Charlotte

Pretty much my first time to a rodeo in ±30 years, since I was a kid and my grandfather bought me my first cowboy hat. Now, I don't know what it takes to put on a rodeo. So, some of these comments may not be able to be avoided. The clown and announcer's banter was dumb, no chemistry, and way to long. I know you need filler to change acts, so to speak, but it was awful and seemed to go on way too long. THE SOUND SYSTEM WAS TOO LOUD. Now they say you're too old when its too loud - but I wasn't at a rock concert. I'm not sure if they were using the original sound system from 1955, but it sounded like some speakers would disconnect and get crackly and then come back on. The show had the feeling of not being fluid and very choppy. It felt that when the clowns would come in the show would stop and get interrupted. The show felt stretched, as well. Lets have everyone's flag run through the arena at one time instead of one at a time - shaving 10-15 minutes of introductions. The animals and cowboys/girls were great, but for the show to be 3 hours long, there wasn't enough of them and the Producers didn't seem very good. Too many scene changes/intermission vs. quantity of entertainers/events.
