Loud as hell, pretty lights, exhausting just watching these psych rockers jam for a couple hrs. Highly recommend this show
I went into this gig with very little exposure to Earthless. I went because I was a fan of the drummer, Mario Rubalcaba, and his work with the punk band OFF!. As a fan of many genres including psychedelic and hard rock music, I was simply blown away from this show. I went in as a very casual fan, only knowing one song and left astounded. The Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show was unforgettable. I have attended over 200 concerts in my life. I have seen excellent lights and visuals from bands including Tool, Nine Inch Nails, The Flaming Lips and Dead & Company. Those acts are top dogs when it comes to visual productions and yet, The Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show was hands down the best visuals I have seen at a concert. The authentic craft of mixing the liquid is something truly worth marveling. Along with the phenomenal performance from Earthless, this show is truly an auditory and visual spectacle. After buying their new album Black Haven, and a Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show tee, I had the pleasure of meeting both Isaiah Mitchell and Mario Rubalcaba! Both of these men were very kind and pleasant to be around! It was a joy being able to shoot the shit with them and give my props! I would see this show immediately if it came back to St. Louis and I truly hope it does! If Earthless plays at your city, make it your priority to attend!
Man, I don't care if you've heard of these guys or not, just go. One of the wildest live acts you'll ever see. They are endurance athletes. To play with that much intensity, non-stop for almost an hour and a half is unreal. And it's not just the physical accomplishment, the music is mind-bending. No note feels superfluous or misplaced. Do not miss them.
I Witnessed Brilliance! Didn't Need Earplugs... Crystal Clear Sound... A Must See When They Come Around... Elder Was Fantastic Also
