Dwight sounded great.
by Excellent! on 4/24/24Gila River Resorts & Casinos - Wild Horse Pass - ChandlerThis venue is small and perfect. Got a room so we didn't have to drive anywhere after. Also, ate at one of the restaurants--very tasty.

Raised on the Bakersfield honky tonk of Buck Owens and traditional country like Johnny Cash and Hank Williams, Dwight Yoakam has created more than a dozen studio albums of his own self-described hillbilly music over nearly four decades. On his 2012 collection, “3 Pears,” the Kentucky-born performer reached out to Kid Rock and Ashley Monroe of Pistol Annies for co-writing help on a couple songs, while Beck co-produced the successful set.
Ticket buyers know a slew of Yoakam singles when they head to his concerts — from the chart-topping “Guitars Cadillacs” from the similarly-titled 1986 debut and “I Sang Dixie” off of 1988’s “Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room” to 1993’s “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere.” And when he’s not on the tour bus canvassing the nation, the singer/songwriter may be on a movie set. His acting credits include critically acclaimed roles as an abusive boyfriend in “Sling Blade” and a psychopath killer in “Panic Room.”

Did not know there would be an opening act as there was none when we saw Martina McBride at same place. Yokum came on after 9 PM & had a great show but we had a number of 6'4"& taller guys in front of us & if not for the TV's might have not seen much of him as no matter if the crowd was standing or sitting made it difficult on a 5'5"wife & even 5'10"me. Good show room but I would be wiser as where I would choose seats in the future.
Puts on a great show! Will continue to see him when ever he is in town.
It started off real slow songs that I didn’t know. Half way through it picked up!! It was the so ga I grew up with. A guy got shocked on stage. Actually two of them did.
Concert was great but Mescalaro must do something about the venue as it is not conductive to large crowds
Dwight was spectacular! His band and crew were amazing and the performance was one of the best I’ve ever seen.
Dwight was awesome and did great. His sounds man running around all stressed out the whole time was a little distracting.
DWIGHT IS ALWAYS AMAZING No matter where hes playing. The only bad thing about this was the venue. We purchased seats in the Gold Section, which means we were in the second row.... our seats were section B seats 39 and 40. We were seated right in front of the Speakers and to top it off, a Security Guard stood in our view the whole NIGHT. The two gals in front of us got up and left as their view was blocked not only by the speakers, but by the guard. We would have had a better view in the back. Totally disappointed with the way the seats were set up.
The standing room area was too crowded and clutter! I'm surprised I didn't see any fights because people were drunk and bumping each other! The beer booths right behind the standing area!
We had some good seats close to the front so we had a good time. We've seen Dwight a few times before and he always puts on a Good Show! Can't wait for the next one!
