Whether he's teaching students in his Dweezilla guitar masterclasses, honoring his father's legacy through the revitalization of his music, or taking the stage with his famous friends, Dweezil Zappa is a talented and well-loved performer. Known for his humility, extraordinary musicality, and the raw power of his shredding, Dweezil wowed fans in 2013 with his unassuming command of the guitar. Often enlisting the help of other celebrated musicians for his live performances, Dweezil gives fans much to look forward to at his 2014 tour dates.
California-born son of legendary multi-instrumentalist Frank Zappa, Dweezil Zappa has followed in his dad's footsteps with an impressive musical journey of his own. Beginning with his 1982 debut album My Father Is a Space Cadet, Dweezil has released a series of cult classics, including 1988 underground favorite My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama. More recently, Dweezil has taught students the methods of the signature Zappa guitar style with a series of masterclasses, following up each lesson with a hands-on demo concert of the beautiful madness in action. Back on the road in 2014, fans can catch him at one of his intimate instructional sessions or filling out the ranks of Kenny Wayne Shepherd's performances.
