This was such a wonderful concert. The historical background of the music performed was very enlightening. Listening to the voice of Jemeesa Yarborough was an unbelievable experience. She is a Fantastic performer with a Star quality voice.!! Thank you!!
The performance of The Durham Symphony at the Carolina Theater in Durham on April 2, 2016 was spectacular. It was a fitting tribute to all the famous jazz peformers.
Excellent show for a small venue. Great guests. Was visiting from Winston-Salem for a Food Tour in downtown Durham - and this was the perfect event to finish the evening get-away
The director was very good about explaining the various pieces or parts. There was a balance of quiet/peaceful movements and battle/war movements within the pieces. The special 9/11 piece was quiet and thought-provoking.
