About

THE DUPREES IN CONCERT:

Beloved doo-wop group the Duprees have been wowing audiences with their romantic ballads, effortless harmonies, and classic style for more than five decades. Taking the stage in white tuxedos, the four talented singers pay homage to the golden age of pop music with pitch-perfect renditions of timeless favorites like "You Belong to Me" and "Have You Heard?" Veteran performers that sound as good live as they do on their recordings, the Duprees treat ticket buyers to a honey-toned walk down memory lane at their critically acclaimed live shows.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Duprees formed in Jersey City in the early '60s and were quickly spotted by big band leader George Paxton, who signed them to his Coed Records label. They made their debut in 1962 with the single "You Belong to Me", a big band-backed interpretation of Jo Stafford's 1952 hit that landed them in the US Top 10 and went on to sell more than a million copies. The band's unique combination of doo-wop vocals and big band accompaniment was a hit with audiences, and they were a regular chart presence throughout the '60s and '70s with romantic interpretations of classic hits like "Have You Heard?" and "Why Don't You Believe Me". In 2012 the band celebrated the 50th anniversary of their debut hit with a series of stellar live shows, proving they still have the magic touch after all these years.

    Disappointed

by Bob on 12/18/23Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Very Disappointed. We waited thru the first artists, which were good. After 2 hours of those artists the Duprees came on with a new performer and performed for 30 only minutes. They did about 6-8 songs and left.

by Ellie from Rockland on 12/13/23Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

One of my favorite groups of all time! They never let me down when I see them perform. After the show, they stick around and mingle with the fans. They are truly down to earth and enjoy speaking with their fans!

    Great show with great acts

by Jerzeegirlrn on 12/12/23Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

My husband & I agreed our 2 favs were Lala Brooks & Gary US Bonds! They killed it! They made announcement NO PHOTOS & NO VIDEOS! The 2 couples in front of us videoed entire show, so annoying & disrespectful. The lady in our row videoed with bright light on glaring!! At Tarrytown Music Hall ushers walk around during show & ask patrons to turn off phones! This needs to be enforced @Bergen PAC.

    Duprees

by Les on 10/2/23South Point Showroom at South Point Hotel Casino and Spa - Las Vegas

This is a classic Las Vegas showband. Only 3 or 4 of Duprees greatest hits, but they do great job on others hits from Lionel Richie back to Bobby Darin, 40 year’s worth of hits.

The Duprees concert brought back a lot of memorable memories for my wife who is from NEW YORK. I can see the happiness in her eyes, I was happy that I could bring a small token of my LOVE for her.

    A lot of Noise

by Milforddave on 4/26/22F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Went because of the Duprees. They were a big disappointment. They were missing one member, one individual looked dead on his feet, and worst of all the sound was distorted because they overused the reverb unit. Also, one of the men playing the guitar filled in on most of the vocals. Also, it seems that half of the Tokens were also missing. We have attended most of the Four Seasons shows where they imitate the original group. A much better show!!!
