The Dove Awards were amazing -hope they come back to Atlanta! Since it is being taped for TV - would be great if they would start a little earlier. Didn't realize that it would last til mdinight and then the drive home
As always, it is a blessing to be surrounded by Christian music's greatest and the Fox is one of our favorite venues. However, having experienced many live and taped productions and attended previous Dove Awards, we were extremely disappointed in the stage management and the lack of actual awards given during the 4 hour plus event. We have previously attended the awards on numerous occasions when they were broadcast live and things flowed much, much smoother. Only a handful awards were actually given out during the taping and we were relegated to checking online the next day to see who actually won the majority of the awards. I guess that our disappointment comes in that we attended an awards show hoping to actually see the awards being given. On a more positive note, thank you Chonda Pierce! Without your humor, the evening would have felt even longer!
I loved the Fox Theater and the set. However, the lag time between awards was a bit too long. When I attended the Dove Awards in TN in 2006 the show went smoother. Didn't recall a lot of delays.
great show! Seeing so many artists perform in one night was a wonderful experience. and it was fun to be part of the recording of the show too since it was on TV later.
I have been to many awards show over the years and the Doves topped the list. The Fox staff was helpful, but kept tapping my should to put my phone away but I was on the 4th to last row and everyone was texting. They said no cameras but people were using cameras all me. Need to change the policy or get new staff.
this was a once in a lifetime event. the music was awesome and the comedic talents of Chanda Pierce was exceptional as always. Sherry Shepherd did a great job hosting. I hope they bring the awards back to atlanta next year.
The show was toooo long! My favorite moments were when the Pastors sang and Sandi Patti sang.
The event was amazing/ our wedding anniversary present (9 yrs.)/ we are planning for next year!
I LOVED coming to see the Gospel Music Dove Awards LIVE! I would make an attempt to come EVERY year if they were held at the FOX THEATER!! It was beautiful!!!
The award show was a covey of talented performers, and I loved them all. They chose the best of the best to showcase and it was worth it.
