Doug Benson is a comedic genius

by svanloon on 10/18/22Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

The Punch Line is great with their strong drinks and wait staff. Doug Benson provides fast wit and masterful control of the audience. I try to not miss seeing him anytime he's in town. Bring your tag lines! (aka posters with your name substituted in the movie title).

    Really White and cultish

by MkyMclkr on 11/3/18Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

So DLM was better than the stand up sets to me, with that said they still are very white and it was apparent that there was prejudice in the room. probably why the unfunny to me race humor did so well in the room. Also because this has a following they tend to pick those people for the games. really bad marketing doug unless you do not like POC and this is a way to keep them out. I was harassed after the show by a fan as I was leaving if this is the patrons of the show I will not be going again.

    It was fine

by Aaron18 on 6/16/18Gramercy Theatre - New York

It was fine. A little underwhelming. The venue security was stringent and annoying and surprising considering it was a comedy show starting DOug Benson

Doug Loves Movies is always a great time. With surprise guests and a goofball of a host, I've been several times because of how funny it always is.

    conversation podcast

by Joel707 on 1/17/18Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

I'm a fan of his podcast. I know what I was into when I went to this show. I also knew that he has been touring non-stop for the past six days, and we were day seven. You could tell that he seemed a bit drained. Besides that, the show delivered. It was entertaining, and engaging. Doug Benson is a pro, and I'll likely see him again.

    Meh.

by WhiskeyAndGlitter on 11/15/16Punch Line Comedy Club - Sacramento - Sacramento

So, I'll preface this review with the fact that I really purchased tickets because my boyfriend loves this podcast. I've listened to a few episodes and find that it's really hit or miss depending on the guests. Unfortunately, we both agreed that our line up just wasn't that stellar. The poor stoner kid from dirty heads seemed lost most of the game and I wouldn't use the word "comedic" to describe him at all. Tate (I think that was his name) was really the only entertaining guy in the lineup. Wasn't terrible, but definitely wasn't the laugh riot we were hoping for.
