Don Henley and his band were amazing. It was like 2 concerts in one...Don Henley and The Eagles. I feel like I saw history, Don sounds as good as ever and his band is just as amazing. I appreciate that he brings along such a large and talented group to his performances, a lot of artists cheap out and bring the bare minimum, but he spared no expense in talent. This is a must see concert! I would go again if I could!
Don Henley's 70th birthday concert was truly amazing; he is still going strong and having fun - exactly why I love going to these concerts. The multi-generational audiences make it sooo much fun; everyone knows the words and sings along.
Wow.....what an evening! Don Henley knows how to throw a party for his 70th birthday. A show that had something for everyone.......songs from Cass County, hit songs from his solo career and songs from his Eagles days, along with guest performers. It was a trip down memory lane for everyone. Don's three backup singers each came to the front of the stage to sing with him, and they are all talented ladies. Of course, the highlight of the evening were musical numbers with his guests: The Eagles' Timothy B. Schmidt and Joe Walsh, Patty Smyth ("Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough,"), and Stevie Nicks ("Leather and Lace.") For a seventy year old rocker, Don still can sing those notes and we especially liked the back notes he shared about some of his songs. Can't wait to see Don Henley again!!!
Don Henley's 70th birthday concert, he played his normal full set, Stevie Nicks joined for "Leather and Lace", Patty Smythe for "sometimes love aint enough".. Joe Walsh hammered out "Rocky Mountain Way", while Timothy B. Schmidt chipped in with "I can't tell you why"? historic, I hope a Blu Ray is forthcoming. Walsh burned on guitar for the Eagles classics, "Hotel California" and "Life in the Fast Lane".. my 7th time seeing Mr. Walsh, the first was opening for Ms. Nicks in 1983, who in turn I had seen with Fleetwood Mac 40 years and 12 days prior.. she still looks fantastic!
It is rare when a musician plays for close to three hours and makes you not want to get up for a short walk. Henley played many of his classic songs and slipped in a few of his new ones to make a great show. The special guests for his birthday show made the night extra special.
It was incredible to see special guests such as Stevie Nicks, Patty Smyth and especially to see Joe Walsh Timothy Smidt.
Joe Walsh, Stevie Nicks, Tim Schmidt. And Don in fine form? How can you go wrong!
I am never disappointed when I see Don Henley. He always gives it his all. Plays all the songs you want to hear.
iI am ready to go again at any price. Always sounds as good as the recording-or better. Their music was amazing as always,
