    DTYTBF IS EXCELLENT

by Allmouth on 11/2/14Murphy Fine Arts Center - Baltimore

I am a fan for life. DYTYBF is truly one of the best stage productions I've seen. The acting is so great it doesn't look like they're acting. The way it's written is amazing. It's truly a well rounded and extremely intelligent script. It doesn't have buffoonery like other plays. The actors and actress are beautiful, I love the women outfits and shoes. Meli'sa Morgan can go up just one size on the dresses but I still love your outfits. Monifah was wonderful and she sung the hell out of that song. The one who play the fiancée and best friend were the truth. The men of the show OMG I love me some Sean Blakemore, Tony Terry played the Pastor and he was off the chain. I love his character. The white guy who played the best friend to the lead "Maurice" was funny as all get out. The one who played the lead "Maurice" played the hell out of his part, He is fine as hell, He came on stage with chocolate syrup, I wanted to pour it on his chest lol. The play is a must see. You will truly enjoy it.

The play was amazing. Meeting the cast after the show was a treat. I look forward to Mr. Lawrence's next play. He is truly a talented writer.

One of the best non-Broadway Productions I've Seen

by sbbig3302 on 10/28/14Morgan State University - Murphy Fine Arts Center - Baltimore

This production had it all. Great musical performances by Tony Terry, Me' Lisa Morgan and Monifa, convincing acting performances by the whole cast, and a great script with a totally unexpected plot twist! I would see it again if I could, and will definitely see this writer's future productions.

    Fantastic show with surprise ending!

by Kasar on 10/28/14Morgan State University - Murphy Fine Arts Center - Baltimore

My son was visiting Baltimore and since I planned on going to see this production anyway, I treated him to a ticket. He didn't really know what to expect, but he absolutely loved it - especially the ending. This play was FUN.

    Good but not great

by BmoreMike on 10/16/14Warner Theater - Washington

I took my wife as a surprise for her birthday. The play was just okay but not like other plays we had attended at Warner in the past. It took them too long to change scenes. It was good to see Tony Terry and Melissa Morgan and hear them sing.

Do You Trust Your Best Friend was good

by Anonymous on 10/9/14Warner Theatre - Washington

The play was good. I will say there were a few too many scene endings....this made the play last a little too long. It made you believe the set was going to change or something, but it never did. There were a few shockers and I liked that. Overall, I believe it was good and I would see it again....if there weren't so many breaks.

The show was very funny. I enjoyed the real life issues that they covered and how you can overcome any mistake. I would recommend this play to others. A must see.
