Django Django was neat, and The Shacks was too

by DjangoFan on 10/20/18The Masquerade - Atlanta

Django Django was neat to see so up close, the venue was small and intimate. The Shacks was also an unexpectedly fun opener. PBR costs $4.50 though, so didn't buy any beer there.

Great except for the sound quality

by LongTimeDylanFan01701 on 10/14/18Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Django Django is one of my favorite bands. I love the songs, and the band is fun to watch. But the sound quality in concert is terrible. So bad, that I really can't recommend them. I've seen them at 2 different venues now. Forget the clean, crisp sound on the albums. In concert it is all noise and you can't hear the vocals. If you love the music, you may still want to see them in concert, but make sure everyone in your group loves them. The sound quality makes it hard for people who don't know the songs to hear anything. It hurts me to write a bad review for such a good band. But I wrote the same thing 2 years ago and they didn't fix it.

The best show I've been to. They were genuinely having fun onstage and the audience responded to that.

    Awesome show!

by Anonymous on 11/11/15Royale Boston - Boston

Welcome to the USA, Django Django! Been wanting to see these guys for a while. Glad they finally made it over the big pond for a US tour. The venue was changed so it was at The Middle East in Cambridge, not the Royale, but it was great. Appreciated the coat check. Good crowd but not uncomfortably packed so I was very pleased with that.

I was on crutches and I still danced

by softblue on 3/26/13Public Works - San Francisco

They came out strong and I was not surprised they started with the opening song from the album. It just lends itself as a starting piece. They were brilliant for about 5 songs but then started to lose the initial energy, I have a theory on this but will keep it to myself. The venue, Public Works, was superior. They accommodated me and my torn ligaments with parking and seating, both of which are a commodity in the area. Thank you, I'll be back.

    Epic show...

by theblackswaninOC on 3/25/13The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

My most informed music connection (of very many) recommended this band to me about a year and a half ago, and now I can see why. I instantly thought about the Beta Band, and it took an investment of time before I understood their music. This is oftentimes the way it is for me, especially with bands that have an enduring place in my heart and brain. None of the online videos online do this band's live performances justice. Any music lover or jam band afficionado will love this band. I can't get their album out of my head...and that's a good thing.
