Dilated Peoples Tickets

Was just listening to some DP and it still slaps. Not fair these bad reviews from 10 years ago matter.

Release party show for the Directors of Photography album... BeatJunkies DJ Rhettmatic and Mr Choc kept it warm until Dilated walked on stage... for a small venue the energy was awesome, like everyone waiting to see long lost family after so many years... Madchild, Fashawn, Alchemist, Sick Jacekn all showed up and represented solid. See the setlist below; was very satisfied with how much they covered. All I know is the heads that showed up were all good vibes and very diverse, especially generational. I'll say this: I brought my 16 year-old to this show to introduce them and he was like "wow that's really good music"... As one who is not really a fanatic of anything, I've been listening to Dilated Peoples since the ABB days. This is my 5th time seeing them live and even though years have passed their formula has not changed (nor has it needed to IMHO).

The whole show was great. Visionaries came out with energy and set the tone. Didn't expect much from Del since he's usually medicated but he's been sober for awhile now n gave one of his better performances lately.. People Under the Stairs n Dilated Peoples did what they always do, gave an amazing show... The Back To Basics Tour gave a hell of a show, especially for the price... Well worth it. Better then paying $100+ to see a Radio Mainstream artist perform for an hour n not be able to get that close to them...

I arrived at 11pm, and wasted the next two hours being ear-raped by phony rappers, waiting for DP to come on stage. Will not waste my time or money on them again.

The ticket said doors opened at 8PM; we got there close to 9PM, and the doors were not even open. The pre-show acts were TERRIBLE - like a bad high school talent show and Dilated Peoples came out 4 hours later...the sound quality at the venue was horrible - you couldn't even understand any of the words. I love DP, and this was the WORST show I've ever been to.
