    Outstanding show

by PSkillz on 7/25/18St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Betts has put together a fine band. And the show had all the energy I'd hoped. Double drums, driving rhythms and soaring guitar. Great playlist, of course. (St. George Theater is a great venue.)

The Dickey Betts Band - St. George Theatre

by mcgnyr94 on 7/24/18St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Dickey and the band were great in Staten Island. Saw them at the Great South Bay Music Festival and they were a little rusty. Much improved in a week.

    barn burner in staten island

by gggggppppp on 7/24/18St. George Theatre - Staten Island

some ancient witchcraft must have dropped a wicked spell on this show. dickey b. was back in the saddle and the horse was runnin. the old southern cowboy hit all the right notes and the rest of the band turned the temperature to scolding hot and got the whole saloon jumpin. duane betts guitar solos were jet fuel infused with heavy duty power. setlist was classic allman scripture from the promised land. although there could have been a few more great southern songs. they penned a couple beauties in their day like good time feelin. and that good time feelin came around once again for a good old saturday night new york throwdown.

    another lack luster show

by campy217 on 7/24/18St. George Theatre - Staten Island

im not a big dickey betts fan to begin so I didn't expect very much and that's what I got.he played a lot of allman brothers songs but in my opinion they were slow and off key.i know hes old but if you cant play your own songs its time to pack it in.i went with a cousin and friend who are big fans and they were very impressed so its all good.our seat location was awesome so that was the only good thing to come from it all.

Dickey Betts Band - short but sweet

by cadillacsteve on 7/24/18St. George Theatre - Staten Island

When this show first went on sale, there was an opener planned- Devon Allman Project. Closer to the date, it was revealed that they dropped the opener and planned to shoot the show for a possible dvd release. With that being said, they claimed we would get a longer show. That was not the case- at the end of the first set, they announced they were taking a break- so we all assumed we had a few minutes to visit the restrooms and/or concessions. After about five minutes, they came back on while a large part of the crowd was still not returned to their seats. They played two more songs and called it a night. The 'second set' turned out to be an encore. We were stunned as the clock barely reached 10:00pm- we got about 90 minutes of music. The band was kicking- a really good show, it just left us wanting more. Can't blame Ticketmaster.

    He’s still got it!

by TripleDog on 7/24/18St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Dickey Betts put on an excellent concert. It was like the Allman Brothers of old. He nailed all his solos and singing. He also basically did a greatest hits show, which I had never seen from the Allman Brothers, and I saw them three times. His band was great too. A lot of good jamming.

I owe everything I have to Dickey Betts

by Scrumpto on 7/24/18St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Dickey Betts is a master of composition, arrangement, and improvisation. After5 years of retirement he came back because the fans wanted more. Finally, we can give back to him. Doesn't get any better than Dickey Betts.
