Dick Fox's Golden Boys Tickets

We had a great weekend at The Blue Gate Theater in Shipshewana,. Indiana. On Friday we saw The Righteous Bros. and The Golden Boys on Saturday. The Golden Boys show lasted about 2 hours and was very entertaining.. Good fun music and great stories. The video clips brought back many good memories for we oldies. Lou Christie took over the spot left by the passing of Bobby Rydell. Lou was very good and a great addition. Very glad to have walked down memory lane again.

Easy access! Fun night. Great performance ! I saw Frankie Avalon when I was 12 at the Frolics. Salisbury, MA. It was a thrill to see him 60 years later! Bobby Rydell was also fantastic! And Fabian is still looking good!

There all kids at heart. Avalon is in amazing shape and looks 30 yrs younger than he is. God bless Rydell all that he's been threw. Still sings beautifully . All three are timeless, brings back great memories. Lucky to have them 👍👍

Back in the time of teenaged idols, I bought 45 rpm records. The hits of Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell and Fabian were broadcast on Bandstand and we all danced along. It's fun to remember those times and pay tribute to the enduring music. Frankie Avalon is youthful and spry. Bobby Rydell is hanging in and keeping up even with his liver and kidney transplant. Fabian is just old, but his voice is strong. With humor and humility, they had fun reminiscing and we had fun, too.

I saw the "Golden Boys" 30+ years ago at the Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH. It was a fun time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In that show, the "Three" spent a lot of time talking about their Philadelphia roots and their families. They pretty much just sang their own songs (which, in Fabian's case was a bit limited) but it was nice - a good experience. Flash forward 30 years. This show is completely different. Not only do they sing their own songs but they've added many "feel good" Rock'n Roll songs from the 50's and 60's. Their voices are still strong and they've chosen songs that their "older" voices can still sing well. This is a much needed improvement. It's like they now finally understand why their audience is there - we just want to go back to "the good old days" through the songs we grew up with (I'm in my 70's). They have now accomplished that mission. A very fun and uplifting two hours. If you're looking for a flashback to simpler times - and like to smile and sing along - by all means....GO!

It was great to spend an evening remembering the “good old days”. The songs brought back many memories. All in all a very enjoyable night.

We loved listening to some great music with performers who have stood the test of time!
