    My first opera

    I've never been to an opera, but I found this performance to be really great. The story line is a little dark and serious, but really interesting. Loved the ending with guillotine - great theatrical execution! Lovely lovely voices and outstanding orchestra.

    Top notch rendition of Poulenc's Dialogue by the excellent young singers of UCLA opera. Personally I would have been tempted to forego Acts One & Two - but I would be faulting Poulenc and "the book" and not the singers. Excellent student orchestra as well.
