It was an amazing show! Gemini Syndrome opened for them and they are an awesome up and coming band. Device is amazing. David sounds amazing live. It was awesome having it in a small venue to feel more intimate. It was a really good, amazing show! And I would love to see them again when they come back!

    One hell of a rush!!

    by montychristo86 on 5/30/13Sokol Underground - Omaha

I expected a kick-a$$ show, and I got that and then some! Sad fact: I have never been to a legit rock concert before this. I'm glad that wait is finally over. First, Gemini Syndrome came on stage. Nothing like an opening act that not only didn't suck, but really surpassed my expectations, especially the lead singer. The other two acts that were supposed to play before Device were Beware the Darkness and a local band called Screaming for Silence. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait for Device that long. The two other fillers didn't even show and the Device crew set up right away. Then suddenly, David Draiman walks in with an escort right between me and my three other friends I came with. That was the most surreal experience of the entire night! (I didn't realize he was pretty short - and I'm only 5' 9''!) Needless to say, the Device set blew me away! All three band members (David, Virus, and the Drummer) were totally on their A game. During their cover of "Close My Eyes" David sang the male and female vocal parts in perfect pitch! I know he ruggedly trains his voice - but that was pretty damn impressive since he himself even hoped he wouldn't blow out his pipes! Virus was havin' his bada$$ self a blast on the guitar, especially with six Diamond speaker cabinets in back of him. I've played guitar for 13 years and have seen and tested tons of gear. I hope those cabs were just for show cuz those cabinets each contain four 60-watt 12" speakers. That would make a combined total of 1440 watts behind him. Hopefully, Virus has eardrums of steel to compliment his guitar wizardry. The show ended with another cover, Nine Inch Nails' "Wish"! Little known fact: Disturbed's music was partially inspired by NIN. This cover is available on the Deluxe Edition of their debut album, and they kicked a$$ covering NIN. The show was a totally seminal experience for my first rock concert. I enjoyed every bit of it and would recommend the experience to anybody. It was unfortunately the last show of the first leg of the tour, but don't pass up the others. You will regret it if you do.

    Awesome

by Natzely on 5/30/13Sokol Underground - Omaha

The whole show was amazing. The fact that it was only Gemini Syndrome and Device made it even better, you got exactly what you wanted. Sadly, Device didn't stay to sign stuff but GS did and they were friendly and cool people. I've gone to a lot of concerts and this one is definitely one of my favorites. If Device would have stayed after the show I would have given it 5 stars... The show was perfect though.

    Device blew my mind

by Musicfan856 on 5/19/13Upstate Concert Hall - Clifton Park

All three bands were awesome, but I loved Device simply because I'm a huge fan of David Draiman who is the lead singer for another band I love, Disturbed, and the lead singer of Gemini Syndrome rocked it biblical, I mean the guy had a full Moses thing going on.

    Device nailed it!!

by Str8OuttaLine on 5/18/13Upstate Concert Hall - Clifton Park

Gemini Syndrome was a solid opening act, setting the tone early. Nonpoint guitarists were way too loud, deafening. Device came out with lots of energy and a great stage presence. Loved their whole set! Afterwards I got a picture with Draiman and he signed my album. Great night!
