    Wonderful surprise

by Summermadness on 8/14/18Churchill Downs - Louisville

Most of the talent I was unfamiliar with however, the performers exceeded my expectations. We had a wonderful time. We will be back next year!!

    Bang for your buck!

    by Visitor15 on 8/14/18Churchill Downs - Louisville

Great guest artists however with the talent and experience I wanted to hear Marion Meadows play his music and Kim Waters play his music then both do tunes together. Had to listen on the way home to their individual hits for my fix! Venue is good but needed more umbrellas for the "Preferred" ticket holders on the ground especially with the intense sun & heat. I can't believe there aren't more food vendors in the area especially for the time frame. I was able to recruit 17 food vendors/trucks for an event lasting 7 hours for 1 day! I stood in line for over an hour - not good customer service but the food was great! Plan to return in 2019 and hope to see some modifications!

Kim Waters was the GREATEST !!!

    by Gary57 on 8/14/18Churchill Downs - Louisville

This was our first time attending and didn't really know what to expect. We had preferred seating and if we would have sat down at the table we would have been drenched with sweat because the way they were staged was in direct sunshine. Other than having to find a cool place to chill out we had an awesome time. We are planning to come back next year with our own seats to be comfortable. All the jazz artist were magnificent but Kim Waters stold the show. Thanks Churchill Downs for hosting this grown folks event. XOXO Rhonda Allen & Gary Trowel.

    Need More Organization

by papooh on 8/14/18Churchill Downs - Louisville

The event did not state that you had to provide your own seating if general admission tickets were purchased. We bought reserved seating tickets, however there was no reserved seats. Ads and promotional information was misleading. Things will have to improve before I return again.

    Great Show

by MasiRider on 8/14/18Churchill Downs - Louisville

The only change I would make is to have it in May or September when it’s not as hot. Maybe even June. Definitely not the hottest month of the year

    A Tale of two Reviews

    by KMJis1 on 8/14/18Churchill Downs - Louisville

The artist were Phenomenal and a Great Line-up!! The audience was too laid back though and not enough return energy for the performers to give more back. Even Kim Waters, who played possessed, told the crowd how the previous evening they had played the same song in Long Beach, California and heard the sky fall with applause.....he proceeded to play the same song again and still very little response. Come on Louisville... I have traveled all over the world for these shows and believe me, when you give it up....you get it back in Spades!! Performers 5 Stars...Audience 2 Stars.
