DCD is one of the only bands I’ve ever seen trance the audience into stunned silence.

    Life Changing

    by K. H. on 4/13/22

I saw Dead Can Dance after their Anastasis album came out. I think it was around 2013 when I saw them at the Hollywood Ampitheater. My goddess, a life changing concert! You see how captivated they are by their own performance. It is a form of deep meditation. It has the effect a healing sound bath has times ten or more. Lisa Gerrard is no longer mentally in the room as she sings, her eyes glaze over and she is in another realm delivering its energy to us all. The waves of Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard’s voices hit us all as if we were right in front of them. It envelops us. I hope I can see them again. Sadly their concerts in the US have been cancelled as of late, but I search all the time.

    Imagine my suprise

    by Sammy on 6/17/21

Well I THOUGHT I was buying a ticket to see the current rendition of the Grateful Dead, which I now understand is called Dead & Company NOT Dead Can Dance. Imagine my surprise. I had a lovely time anyway and thoroughly enjoyed the show. But just FYI- this has absolutely nothing to do with the Grateful Dead but 10/10 would recommend.

    Phenominal, never a dry eye!

by SpindleAWebb on 4/21/13Davies Hall - San Francisco

Ever since I was introduced to Dead Can Dance, I never missed a show, including solo shows with Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. They take their music to the highest caliber sounding just as great if not better than their studio recordings. They take their art seriously and emulate it through their performance. This was a perfect reunion and I pray to the higher powers that they continue to create beautiful worlds through music! I would pay top dollar to see this group and the venue Davies Symphony hall was the perfect venue for this experience. DCD, thank you for your inspiration and making this world complete!

Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerard is a must see! Lisa is by far the most diverse and perfectly pitched singers of our time.

DCD was over the top amazing

by westdcd on 4/20/13Golden State Theatre - Monterey

This performance was absolutely astounding. Lisa Gerrard, Brandon Perry, and the rest of the band gave an awesome performance. Brandon's voice was strong, powerful, and right on par. Lisa hasn't lost a thing either, if anything time has made them even better than I remember from "Toward the Within". The opening performer also played with the band, he did 4 amazing songs on the Hang Drums. The only thing I would miss is having more acoustic instruments and less electronic versions of them. But then again DCD has always been a blend of the two. I especially liked seeing the iMac on stage LOL ... They did 2 encores and then Lisa came out for a 3'rd encore and did a beautiful song backed only by the keyboard player. I never wanted to leave. I could have stayed for another 3 hours of music.
