Dawn & Hawkes Tickets

This was a wonderful evening. My wife and I drove from Cincinnati to see Dawn and Hawkes and were very surprised by the opening act, Blue Eyed Betty's. The venue wasn't a very big venue, a Bar and Grill called Birdy's. It was a small place, but perfect for what I really enjoy. I'm not a big outdoor event type of guy. We enjoyed just sitting at our table and enjoying the music. Dawn and Hawkes were very humble and very genuine. I wish we would have had more time to talk to them both, but had to get back to Cincinnati before the ice storm hit (a two hour drive). They were very appreciative of the fact we traveled to see them and they gave us a CD for free, signed and personalized. There was one song they played, a Blue's type song, but I cannot remember the name of it, very good. They also did a couple of cover songs and added a little Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme in the middle of one of their songs. You can tell that they really have a great passion for writing and performing music. The Blue Eyed Betty's were just as fun to talk to. Again, wish we had more time. We have very similar interests in music. They had great chemistry and good presence on stage. It is hard to believe they have been playing since this last March.
