I had the honor of sitting front row to see the 2 hour long performance from the David parsons dance company. It was great my 10 year old daughter is studying dance this experience has made her want to continue learning more about performing arts. Thanks for a great evening hurry back to Detroit!
Fantastic show!! Highly recommend it. Their partnering, flexibility, and choreography was outstanding.
I first saw this dance troupe in the early 90's and was immediately taken by the athleticism, fluidity, joyous movement and choreography."Caught" simply took my breath away. I have seen them several times since but until the recent tour in Hampton VA it had been years. I was once again given soul food in the form of dance that simply delights all senses. If I had gone to the first show on Tuesday, I know I would have turned around and driven the hour the next night to see them again! I am still smiling days later!! All I can say is there has never been anything as awesome as the number "caught". I have seen this with several different dancers including David Parsons and am always overwhelmed with the imagination that went into the making and then the idea coming to life so perfectly each time.
I enjoyed the program from beginning to end, especially "Caught," which used strobe lights to create effects of flying and floating in air.
