About

David Mason is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Worcester, who first found fame with the rock band Traffic. In his long career, Mason has played and recorded with many of the era's most notable musicians including Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Mama Cass Elliot. Mason's best known song is "Feelin' Alright" recorded by Traffic in 1968 and covered by dozens of artists, including Joe Cocker, who had a major hit with the song in 1969. For Traffic, he also wrote "Hole in My Shoe" a kind of psychedelic satire that became a classic in its own right. "We Just Disagree" Mason's 1977 solo hit written by Jim Krueger, has become a staple of Oldies and Adult Contemporary radio playlists.

Always great to see a GOAT

by Rich C on 3/17/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Dave continues to play to audiences with high enthusiasm and energy. I’ve been going to his shows since (gulp) 1972. He plays to his fans. Songs from Traffic, Blind Faith and of course his own. Meets and Greets us after and seems genuinely happy to be with us. Keep rocking Dave.

    Awesome show!

by Sim & Tue on 3/16/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The band played so many Traffic songs, transporting us back to a magic time in music history. Can't Find My Way Home was deeply moving and very timely... still.

    Fabulous night, start to finish!!

by Randy C on 3/15/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Perfect Venue: easy, organized parking, helpful volunteers, and great sound. Pat Travers opened, gave a spirited 45 minutes of blues rock. Dave Mason was superb. Engaging, great tales of the beginning of REAL rock & roll. His band is perfect, every song was a hit, and his playing is as good as ever. And he's 78! Keyboardist is founder of Vanilla Fudge, so they closed with that. No one wanted to leave! Now, to be picky, the audience was told over and over, no lights, pix or video. Of course right after the light go down, half of them start taping. SO rude, and of course, nobody was told to stop. Even so, we'd go again tomorrow. Dave Mason is a treasure, see him while you can.

    Dave Mason was phenomenal

by Soulful on 3/14/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Pat Travers band was on first and they were painfully loud’ Thank goodness Dave Mason was even better than I had hoped for! The way he created his Traffic Jam with songs before and after his time with Traffic plus his own music and the music of Spencer Davis, Blind Faith and Jimi Hendrix was brilliant! This is a concert I will remember for a very long time!

After all these years, Dave Mason is still going strong

by Mike on 3/14/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Dave Mason and his band were fantastic. He played all his great hits from over the years including Traffic, Blind Faith and the Spencer Davis Group songs. He recounted some of the great artists that he played with and talked about recent recordings with the likes of Joe Bonamassa. The Parker was a nice intimate small seat venue to have seen him in.
