The Dallas Metropolitan Ballet's The Night Before Christmas has become a must-see family tradition for us. Directors and Choreographers Ann Etgen and Bill Atkinson are true gifts to the Dallas performing arts community. Their outstanding and fast-paced choreography makes The Night Before Christmas fun for the entire family, even the little ones. A rare find.
The guest performers treat us to a breath-taking performance each year. The New York City Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders in Belgium, and -- I recently heard that this year will include a special guest appearance from a former soloist of London's Royal Ballet. Wonderful to have such talent visit Dallas!
"The Night Before Christmas" showcases the lovely, talented dancers of The Dallas Metropolitan Ballet Company. The strength and charisma of these dancers is a highlight each and every year - from Dawn to the Snow Queen to the clowns, mice, Santa and his elves and the rest. We are greatly looking forward to this year's performance.
(As for parking... when I know that McFarlin auditorium is known for its parking challenges, we just arrive a little earlier. I can't imagine letting that keep us from attending any event (Tate Lecture Series, David Byrne, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, etc.) held there, especially not this one!)
Bravo Dallas Metropolitan Ballet!
