Horrible!...You know it's bad when, the Dome was a third empty before the show was even over!,,I know because I left too!
great talk by this wise and compassionate man. He struggled at the end and had one of his assistants translate for him but that was okay.
Amazing Talk- We were an hour late but that actually was a boon as we didn't have to stand behind 10,000 people. Listening to Dalai Lama changes your perspective and really makes you think about world in a different way and be more compassionate.
I have had the good fortune to see the Dalai Lama on three occasions. Each time, I felt as though I was personally blessed by his presence. His energy radiates through the venue, bringing a huge crowd to silence.
I am tremendously happy I was talked into going to this event. The Gibson Amphitheater is a huge venue, yet the Dalai Lama somehow made it feel like an intimate one-on-one talk. His energy absolutely fills the room. Extraordinary. And to address the concerns of the previous reviewer...it's a shame you couldn't hear at your event. You really missed something. There were no such problems here. The sound was perfect and the man has such an amazing presence I came away feeling like we'd had an intimate chat.
Oh my gosh, I was sooo distressed. I could make out about a quarter of everything that was said. Even the youth singing was very quiet, along with Bill Curtis. Our entire group struggled and we overheard others and spoke to others on the way out and it was the same across the board, extremely difficult to hear. I moved around to different seats in different locations and it was the same everywhere. The only place that I heard him loud and clear was in the womans bathroom, between flushes.
