    Favorite holiday treat

by BlueTemperament on 12/18/12downtown theatre - Phoenix

My then girlfriend (now wife) and I went to see this on a holiday trip to Arizona last Christmas. We both agree it was the highlight of our trip. Wonderful acting, charming script. I would definitely see it again.

    Daddy Long Legs

by Anonymous on 1/17/12Herberger Theater Center - Phoenix

A delightful remake of a favorite old, old book and movie. Only two characters in the musical, but they tell it well. The female lead was very engaging.

Daddy Long Legs - The Perfect Show!

by mtmmog on 1/17/12Herberger Theater Center - Phoenix

Daddy Long Legs was the best show I've seen in a long time. While Broadway seems to get further and further along the path of "edgy," the best theatre is being done on the local or regional level. Loved the seamless writing and strong performance.

It was absolutely amazing! I went to the show knowing next to nothing about it and I was totally happy with the surprise. I felt the emotion of the characters deeply and would tell everyone I know to go see it if it were to come back to Phoenix.

Missed the ending - I was asleep

by MinAZ on 1/16/12Herberger Theater Center - Phoenix

The story line is great. The voices were beautiful. But, no scenery changes; nothing exciting happened; just continuous monotone singing. I was very bored. I woke up at the end due to the woman next to me who snorted in her sleep.

    Daddy Long Legs was amazing!!!!!!!!

by GGarrett on 1/16/12Herberger Theater Center - Phoenix

The acting, the singing, and the story line were all sooooooo amazing!! I would recomment this play! We went to the 4pm show and I was brought to tears a few times, laughed alot and thought the evening was fabulous. Congratulations to the two, yes ONLY 2, actors, who are in this play. Memorable! Amazing! Fabulous! This was a Christmas gift for my husband and he said that I could not have picked a better play!

My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed the play "Daddy Longlegs". I really didn't know what to expect, how a play could be carried by a cast of two. We were pleasantly surprised. It was the type of production I could recommend to anyone.

    Fun Evening with "Daddy"

by Becquel on 1/10/12Herberger Theater Center - Phoenix

The performance of ATC's "Daddy Long Legs" was wonderful in every way: the setting, the music, the singer/actors, the story. The story provided an intimate view of 2 characters and the music and songs enhanced the mood and emotions. I enjoyed how the singer/actors could play multiple rolls and how the set could be used to allow the audience to use their imaginations for the locations.

    Daddy Long Legs=delightful evening!

by Sobrina on 1/9/12Herberger Theater Center - Phoenix

I had heard about the play and wanted to experience it myself. I had expected a larger cast, but was not disappointed with the performances of the two actors. I attended the prologue seminar and found that interesting and provided good background to the play. The play was delightful, enchanting and had just enough humor to keep it light and fun. I have already recommended it to several friends.

Best show I've seen in a long time

by Theatrekiln on 1/9/12Herberger Theater Center - Phoenix

The Herberger is the perfect theatre for this intimate show. My daughter and I had been hoping to catch a production of this show for 2 years now so we were very excited when we heard it was coming here. This production exceeded our expectations. This is a lovely, human, quiet show, that is perfectly balanced. Though not flashy, it still captures your attention and emotions with beautiful music that flows seamlessly with brilliant performances, and perfectly appropriate sets and staging. For those who have not read the book, Daddy Long Legs is the story of the correspondence between an orphan girl and the anonymous patron who sends her to college. It is touching and humorous in an "Anne of Green Gables" sort of way (only better). How fortunate we are to have the two fabulous actors who originated the roles in this Paul Gordon, finely tuned masterpiece. We came home and raided our Christmas money to go again and bring the rest of the family this time. Don't miss it.
