Illusive is thrilled to announce that legendary hip hop DJ, Spinderella, from Grammy award winning female trio, Salt n Pepa is heading to back Australia for a national DJ headlining tour this October and November. Spinderella's last tour was in February this year alongside the legendary Salt N Pepa on the national Good Vibrations Festival. Now she is coming back, taking it back to the clubs with LA-based Back Spin Radio co-host DJ MoDav. Spinderella and MoDav will destroy the decks in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Melbourne and, for the first time, Canberra.
Fans of hip hop and pop music know Spinderella as the talented (and sexy) DJ of the Grammy award winning female trio Salt ‘N' Pepa. Their massive hits Push It, Shoop, Whatta Man, and Let's Talk About Sex became anthems for a new generation and catapulted the three members into success and stardom across the globe. Salt ‘N' Pepa opened up the male-dominated doors of hip-hop and urban music to women and created an industry standard that every record company tried to replicate.
Arguably the most well-known female DJ of all time, and without question one of the pioneers of hip-hop and pop music. In October 2010, Spinderella received the BET Life Time Achievement Award.
Being a part of the world-renowned group gave Spinderella the chance to use her vocal skills both on and off of the stage. I understand that this event had to serve the interest of a diverse group of people but seriously! The DJ literally stopped playing music when he was switching tracks. I have NEVER Seen this. I know this was was a KSOUL event but OMG! I didnt like the music at all. I heard "Doin the Butt" like 3 times. The mood was off because of the music. Plenty of men to look at....that was all that kept my attention because the music was Horrible. Also I purchased my tickets weeks before on line at ticketmaster. I had to wait in line with people who hadn't purchased tickets and barely got in....Not a good look!

The bartenders were actually nice despite the mob of crowd at the bar. Could use more bartenders for sure! That would be the only negative other than the line to get, but it was sold out so there is going to be a line. Can't wait for next year!
