Really the students were great, but the principals prima donna attempt to star with the students was a real downer. TWENTY minutes to call out every politician in the audience was really not necessary. We came to see the students, not the politician and former office holders.
As always, the show was awesome. Very talented students, and even more impressive are the teachers and administrators who love the arts and the students.
From the intro through the procession of disciplines to the very last performance, those beautiful, talented kids did an amazing job and showcased what an incredible and national model of Arts Academies DA is! Loved it !!
Thank God for the gifts and talents given to all of these students. It is my prayer that each of them will use them to bless others throughout their lives. A shout out to Mote, the young man with the AMAZING front cover to the booklet -- wonderful job! I must say Super Job to my son, Makobi, Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble. The band did a WONDERFUL job on All of the music throughout the show. Missed my solo. God continue to bless you ~ Love you, MG and Mom...
It is hard to imagine that the performers in this show are high school students. This has to be one of Jacksonville's truly great entertainment events.
What a fabulous show! These kids are so talented and the variety of genre and arts in the show makes it so enjoyable for me and my family. Way to go DA!!!
I can't believe the talent of these high school students! DA does an awesome job with these students. At one point I thought I was at a professional show. If you have children that love the arts, Da is the high school for them! I am so glad I switched my daughter to an arts school when I notice her love for music! I will continue to go to Extravanza even after my daughter graduate this year.
If you haven't attended a DA Extravaganza you are missing out. You will be amazed at the talent, it's hard to call them kids because the show is so much more than that. It is a true professional production; singing, dancing, cinema, music and amazing sets and costumes.
I brought my 12 year old daughter who is a budding artist, to see the arts on display as well as all the other areas of talents, and we were both blown away by all performances! We enjoyed our evening and look.forward to next years show, with my husband and son to join us!
